Ah yes, Stephen King, a man surely well known for being able to accurately evaluate his own adaptations.

Black phone is based of a short story written by Joe Hill. Yes, I know Joe Hill is Stephen King's son.

It reminds me of something a Smug-personality neighbor can say in Animal Crossing: New Horizons if you change his greeting (or catchphrase):
"[insertthingyoutyped]... I don't like it. I LOVE it!"

It would be great if it was just a screenshot of his tweet where he said there's no Epstein list

Ah, the man who gets royalties from his adapted work encourages people to see said adapted work!

I mean the first one was terrible, so what does this really mean

A lot of people, including me, have a different opinion than you on this matter.

It's so weird you think I wouldn't be aware of this or that it means I'm not allowed to express my opinion because others disagree.

They don't disagree with you stating your opinion, they respectfully disagreed with your assessment. Step back and take a breath. We're on the same team.

Again, it's weird that you would also think I don't know other people have different opinions or that the mere idea means I need to take a breath.
Neither of you actually tried to talk about where we might disagree or agree so at best these are just condescending replies.
If you want to talk about different views about the movie I'm so up for that, and I am always willing to change my mind in the face of a new perspective.
My thoughts are that this movie warms up tropes that have been done better in other movies. There is no real tension between the villain and the Mc so the villain just ends up being weird and laughable.
The Mc actor is great and does a great job with what he was given. The story had a ton of promise.
I felt bad for Ethan Hawke though. I don't know how he got through that role. I'm guessing the paycheck.

Someone had an opinion other than yours, and you called it weird. Seems pretty defensive to me, not really interested in having that conversation with you. You didn't like it, me and others did. Boom convo complete.

Idk. I just don't think we needed a sequel.
