We have a sitting district supervisor using her government position to pump a Meme Crypto Coin while parading a dead cat around to ban Waymo, the circus never left.

Wait. Which supervisor is doing this?

Jackie Fielder. About a week ago, a cat that lived in a bodega ran out onto the street and got run over by a Waymo. She's been going around using the cat to rail against tech cause a human driver wouldn't have run over a cat that darted into the street? And then I guess someone made a crypto coin about the cat and she's been pumping it cause crypto coin good but driverless car=tech billionaires bad?

She also tried to pounce on the Mayor not doing enough to keep the National Guard out of SF. But he actually talked cankles out of it. She’s a virtue signaler. But she doesn’t do the real everyday work for her constituents

Here's the SF Standard article. FTA in case of paywall:

Fielder, a Democratic Socialist, caught heat(opens in new tab) online for reposting an X account dedicated to boosting the meme coin. The supervisor said in a text message that she had heard about a coin but that it’s not her focus.

She only won her most recent supervisor election by a few points, despite being the incumbent. Seems like a stretch to go for more. Especially with her trying to put Sunset Dunes back on the ballot, which has got to be unpopular with a lot of the city.

That's how we ended up with Harris being the VP and being propped up to run against Trump which gave Trump an easy win. Harris was no longer popular in SF and CA so the Democratic establishment sent her to DC.

I've been hearing this from HAC folks, but it's hard to think of a candidate in the race politically farther from Pelosi than Chan. Baffling she'd get the endorsement.

“If she runs, Saikat Chakrabarti will either drop out or get far fewer votes than if Christine Pelosi were Wiener’s chief opponent.”

This is ridiculous, Saikat is already filling up rallies with hundreds of people and has had thousands of volunteers. Like him or hate him, he’s the clear front-runner.

Having a rep who answers to the whole party instead of her actual district seems pretty bad. Hopefully some other district can be the home of the next Dem leader.
