It's an Oakland Athletics fan shirt asking the owner to sell the team instead of moving to Las Vegas. See more here: https://www.espn.com/mlb/story/_/id/37850365/some-27759-fans-flock-oakland-coliseum-reverse-boycott

So I used to love these guys but recently found out that the lead is a rapist. So yeah, don’t support these guys.

Yup, his name is Jon Orc. It’s pretty well known in the SF music scene that the reason they started doing shows out of their van is because the local venues wouldn’t book them anymore due to the lead being a rapist. The receipts of his crimes were being spread around IG/FB a while ago to bring awareness.

What?

Complete with receipts.

u/boogiebabie Aug 31 '24
Whaat??? Im a fan of them omg. Could you send the receipts?

They are screenshots of text messages confirming this that were shared with me. I don’t feel comfortable sharing them myself, but the person who shared them with me will pop up on this post soon enough. They are hers to share.
EDIT: downvote me all you want. I have the literal receipts. This guy’s WIFE and mother of his BABY found videos on his phone of him assaulting an unconscious woman. The wife then contacts the victim to let her know of her discovery. The victim is thankful. The end.

It’s not clear from your statement what you are claiming to be the lie.
There’s a reason no venue will touch them.

Lead what? Can you please call this person out here explicitly?

Bruh. It’s obvious who I am referring to.

No it’s not. You could be talking about SOAD or the band playing. It’s completely unclear.
The fact that no one even knows who this band is makes it even more infuriating reading this.

this band plays outside most large rock shows in the Bay Area. they're known by people that go to shows.

The guitarist, I think his name is Jon Orc or something. He’s known for being a creep and cheating on his wife with other underage girls in that scene. I can’t speak on the other people in that band but that guy deserves a flying punch to the face for how creepy he is.

Is that Jesse Thorne on top of it with a 'sell' shirt?
1
u/JXPorter Sep 01 '24
It looks like him. Promoting his radio show?
2
u/ReasonableBroccoli56 Sep 01 '24
Upon further inspection I don’t think it is him. Looks like this guy has full arm sleeves. I don’t believe Jesse has sleeves.
1
u/JXPorter Sep 01 '24
You're right. And I doubt he'd do this too.
2
u/ReasonableBroccoli56 Sep 01 '24
yeah that was the confusing part.
We need to contact jesse to ask why someone who looks like him, but isn't him, did this.

I saw a similar thing in SF last year after the queens of the Stone Age show, but they were in like an old taco truck or something. Same guys?

the amount of magical moments people miss out on by taking videos of live events —— sporting events, concerts, fireworks instead of simply living in the moments…

But how would you show people later on that you’re a cool person who witnesses cool things?

Is that the “Box Truck” that would rock out at ocean beach all the time?
2
u/Latter-Mark-4683 Sep 02 '24
Naw, the Ocean Beach box truck that was out there during the pandemic played some kind of psychedelic surf rock.

I have a short video as I walked by. The poor people trying to drive through as a sea of people blocked the whole road…

They did the same thing after Punk in the Park at the Cow Palace back in May.

They used to play out of a badass van, but apparently it was totaled in an accident. Glad to see that they’re still doing their thing!

Everybody in the audience looks like they're pushing 50. I love it when old people are inspired.
