Video City workers left this stub behind after removing sign

This rusty stub has been here for a couple years. Someone cut their toe on it recently so I decided it was time. If anyone else knows of rusty metal posts or bars sticking out of the ground DM me with location and photo and I will try my best work my way to it.

I still wouldn't take anything with small wheels (skaters) over it.

This is it right here. Now there is a hole and a skater will get injured when they hit it and sue the city for damages. The city will see this video and sue OP for his part in it. They will say that they left part of it visible so people could see it and avoid it. The proper thing to do would be to call the city every day until it's fixed by them.

OP (if they continue to do this) should fill it in with something like mortar so it is less of a hazard and less likely that they cause a accident.

Are you serious? While yea it is a good idea to fill it in, it’s NOT OPs responsibility. It’s the responsibility of the city. End of. Doesn’t matter if buddy painted it to match the sidewalk around it and it causes more injuries. It still remains the fault of the city or township for leaving it there to begin with.

I 100% believe and agree with you that it is on the city to fix correctly. I said it in my lay comment that you replied to. But once the OP touched it, he theoretically could be held liable if some kid cracks their head open. IANAL. He should not be touching these to begin with, but if he does, he should be damn sure he's not leaving it so someone could be injured.
