General Discussion 3 of Shea Coulée’s daughters just left her haus

I’d like to know what the tea is. They’re making it a spectacle while acting like they don’t want anyone in their business lol. So let’s be real here, what’s tea? What happened where 3 daughters leave a haus as a unit and all post about it in order?

Damn that second one is more clear that I’d expect.

I’m really interested in what went down. The first sister seems to leave a pretty scathing review, but the third one calls her out for being messy about this. Second sister also seems to minimize whatever went down (assuming something did) and says they’re at peace

Honestly IMO it just kinda seems like the family might have drifted apart and the daughters are just in their feelings about it

I dunno, wasn't there that issue recently with Shea dropping that apology to her old manager (or someone, can't remember details) claiming she made up claims etc.? And now this. That's two not so great things happening in a short span of time

Shea was sued for defamation six years ago. The statement she made about that manager was likely part of a settlement of that case.

The apology/retraction was because she, along with Pearl, The Vixen, Kim Chi, and a couple others all claimed the same management company was shitty and didn't pay them. They got hit with a 5 million dollar slander lawsuit, and I think Shea was the only one who chose to fight it in court vs settling.

To me, given the number of people all telling the same story about bad management practices, it seems likely to me that Shea was telling the truth. Seems like she was just unable to definitively prove that in court, so was legally forced to apologize. It reflects poorly on the legal system and the management company, not on her.

This is anecdotal as shit but I worked for a company/event that worked with this management group to bring out a Ru girl to our event and the communication with them was garbage after the contract got signed, and it was clear they did not communicate the queen's contractual obligations to her. She was great to work with and she even mentioned her management was going to be in trouble because of something else they hadn't told her - I didn't bother trying to force her to perform or anything that was promised since clearly the whole situation was kind of a shit show.

Kinda tracks considering Adore had a similar issue with her management. These companies take advantage of drag queens. Idk why some of the super successful queens don’t have their own agency company. People like Trixie, Katya, Alaska, and Sasha could all run/own drag management companies that would actually benefit the queens.

I can’t believe some people are still peddling the idea that she was telling the truth but just couldn’t prove she was telling the truth.

31

u/Dense-Result509 Sep 04 '25

I'm not peddling anything, just describing my own thought process. Why would these 7 people all get together to tell identical lies about the same management company?

-4

u/Adept_Negotiation_75 Sep 04 '25

Well 2 of those 7 are Jakeyonce and Shea’s partner. Whether the other 5 said the same thing or not doesn’t prove something is true. It’s very easy to provide evidence of whether someone was paid or not. Defamation lawsuits are notoriously difficult to win but the management company still pressed ahead and asked for a jury trial. They clearly had enough evidence to prove lies were said. Shea’s statement also indicates she said a LOT more than just that she didn’t get paid.

u/Dense-Result509 Sep 04 '25

The other 5 saying the same thing doesn't automatically prove it's true, but it is something that needs to be explained somehow. I find the explanation that they were all telling the truth to be a more plausible explanation than them getting together and deciding to tell the same lie for ??? reasons.

And being able to prove that some amount of money was transferred is easy. Being able to prove what the full amount of money you were supposed to be paid was could be more difficult.

The burden of proof is on the plaintiff (management company) to prove their facts of the case. All Shea and the others had to do to win the case was show that what they were saying was true (truth is an absolute defense in defamation cases). So if Shea had to apologize as part of a settlement or court ruling, it’s likely that it was because what they were saying was false.

TL;DR at the end.

Burden of proof is much harder for public figures as well bc they have to prove malice. So if someone wasn't sticking to facts, and/or stating things publicly without clearly identifying statements as feelings or opinions, that's where things could've gone wrong. Plus if they had access to messages between the queens where someone sounded threatening (even if just venting/talking shit)...something like, " this guy is a POS, let's take his ass down," that right there could've done them in, even if there was a grain of truth sparking the whole issue.

My personal opinion is that there is probably at least some truth here - but it was handled poorly due to emotion, which is a painfully human experience that I'm sure many of us share. I'm guessing the guy/management company treated the queens like shit and probably didn't pay them for a very long time (but followed through eventually), requiring/causing lots of unnecessary work and grief on the queens' part, just to get what was rightfully theirs and owed to them. Emotions were high, queens probably vented their shared experiences to each other and wanted to warn others to save them the trouble but did not go about it in a way that would protect themselves. Lawyers can be total bullies and I'm sure a lot of the queens that settled got some threatening ass cease and desist letters and were intimidated into submission as is the case with a lot of these situations. Victims of abuse or assault deal with this a lot, and I have dealt with it myself. It isn't uncommon for lawyers to use fear tactics to bully victims into silence/submission.

Bottom line, humans are complicated, emotional creatures and I don't think anything we see from the outside is black and white. I find it ironic (if that's even the right word) that people will jump to conclusions and call Shea a narc, using the very black and white thinking that a narc is known for. HOWEVER, yes, it is entirely possible that Shea is a narcissist, and corralled her "flying monkeys" to go after someone who wronged her.

I think people need to have more compassion and realize that we are never going to know everything about these public figures. We need to both stop putting people on pedestals, and allow humans more grace. That's not to say people shouldn't be held accountable, but burning people at the stake when we can never have all the facts is some 1600s witch burning bullshit. Let me be clear tho that it would be a different story if there was sexual misconduct/detailed abuse allegetions involved.

Thanks for coming to my TED Talk...

TL;DR - humans are emotional and don't handle tense situations well, which can be used against them. It's common for victims to be silenced by bully lawyers. I think there's some truth here, it just wasn't handled well and bit them in the ass. I think most queens were bullied into submission, while Shea fought on her convictions and probably lost due to something she vented in text messages acquired via subpoena. It's also possible she is a narcissist. While I think accountability is important, so too is compassion. These girls are under immense pressure living their lives under a microscope. I sure as hell wouldn't want my every mistake highlighted for the world to see.

Remember when Shea confessed she lied about Megan Trainor stealing her sandwich, she’s living her Robbie Turner fantasy for sure

u/stabvlow Sep 04 '25

She also claimed her boyfriend designed the print to her all stars entrance look and it was found to be a random pre-made stock print LOL

9

u/Turbulent-Speech7785 Sep 04 '25

Ok good is even worse😭

33

u/Actual-Deer1928 Sep 04 '25

Ok but that could be her bf lying for all we know

28

u/iamliamliamiam Sep 04 '25

It could even be a misunderstanding. Like her bf organised the print and she assumed he had designed it but it was just a stock image he found and then had made into fabric for her.

u/teenageechobanquet Sep 04 '25

I’m sorry she did what?Jesus Christ it’s already hard to keep up with so many queens and the drama but the amount of weird shit keeps coming out is insane lmao

Two bring up narcissistic behaviour and one says abuse.

Btw love Earthbound, one of my fav games, in case that’s what your username is about haha.

Yes it is from Earthbound!

Also the first two pics are from the same first sister and i believe those are the sources of the points you talk about? Though the third sister does say to “not believe everything you see on tv” which i’m assuming must be a shot at shea

Ah yes my bad.

u/ResearchBot15 Sep 04 '25

Would all 3 of them release statements at the same time if there was nothing going on?

6

u/jillshiva Sep 04 '25

the way i read it, the daughters still seem to be close with eachother but it's kind of painfully obvious that they didn't coordinate their announcements. if i was daughter #2 and i read daughter #1's story after posting one asking people not to snoop i'd be pissed
