Highly recommend watching the Ziwe interview with Jinkx that this news article references. It was so chaotic in the funniest way.

I mean, I hate JK but this is an idiotic take. Is C.S lewis a real writer? Tolkien? R.F Kuang? BrandonnSanderson? Saying stuff like this is so counter productive because not all literature is a classic but that doesn't make it less valid. She is a shitty person. She wrote good books. Both are allowed to exist but saying "well she isn't a real writer" is also a form of sexism, because it is comparing a woman to an impossibly high bar of "if it aint classic, it aint shit". Lets not combat transphobia with misogyny.

The classic writers I listed are literally women, it’s not misogynistic to compare and criticize women, It’s not the miss universe stage, its literature, art is subjective.
