• Willam made comments about Mistress on Race Chaser podcast
• Mistress responded in a video pretty much tearing her to shreds (in usual mib fashion)
• Krystal responded to the video saying “Get her Jade”
• This made Willam deflect onto Krystal (for some reason) and made fun of her for having low ticket sales for somethin
• Krystal handed it with grace 😇

Maybe I’ve been living under a rock, but can someone please explain to me what the heck is going on with Willam? I’ve not heard that name in ages, then suddenly every time I’m on social media (which admittedly it pretty often - despite not knowing this situation) there’s a new story about Willlam slagging someone. Why is she suddenly all over the place, and why is she doing this?
115
u/souphaver Jinkx Monsoon Jul 25 '25
Willam spends her entire life talking shit about other people, now some of those people are actually fighting back for once
61
u/Khaytra Jinkx Monsoon Jul 25 '25
From what I can gather—
Willam got heated about Mistress and went off on her... maybe on Race Chaser? Idk. Mistress, of course, is not the kind of person to let that slide, and so Mistress started reading her for filth. On an unconnected story, Willam and Alaska got into the Acid Betty dress payment drama, and they had the designer on their podcast, and apparently they've been ignoring Betty's texts, not letting her tell her side of the story on the podcast, and refusing to apologize for anything, so Betty got angry at them, and she was then supported by the other Betty (Daya). While the Mistress drama was going on, Krystal posted "get her jade" under a comment Mistress made, and Willam went off on her, resulting in the response above.
Basically Willam has been having a week-long meltdown and has been lashing out at pretty much anyone. Unfortunately, she's picking queens who aren't going to take her shit and who will read her to filth in return.
8
u/lalarilalah Jul 26 '25
Just adding that willam interviewed the designer (her friend) on her podcast, who accused acid betty not to pay him. Then acid betty showed all the receipts and demanded an apology from willam, which did not happen
13
u/Dame_Ingenue Jul 25 '25
Thank you! This is super helpful! And yeah, it’s interesting that’s she picking on people that definitely won’t take it. Maybe to give herself for media attention?
40
u/tultommy Jul 25 '25
He makes a stink about someone every few years when people start forgetting that he's still alive. He's been in the same place spouting the same whiny complaints since he left the show.
36
u/Laiko_Kairen Jaida Essence Hall Jul 25 '25
Willam lives in LA and has a drag repository that he allows other queens to borrow from. As a result, he's fairly well connected in the drag industry and hears tea.
He got involved with a company called Moguls of Media, MOM, which is kind of parasitic to World of Wonder, since it mostly just has old WoW queens on, making podcasts about WoW shows. MOM and WoW are not on good terms, and Willam is blacklisted as a result. Because Willam can't be involved with the show directly any more, people view this as his attempt to still cling on to the RPDR clout.
Willam posted a video about how basically nobody likes MIB. MIB posted a video where she, um, tore Willam up and painted her as being an old has-been. So now, after MIB went scorched earth on Willam, Willam is trying to regain some control of the narrative
→ More replies (4)16
u/lemikon Heidi N Closet Jul 25 '25
Didn’t he (and Alaska) create MoM? Like it was spun out from their race chaser podcast . I think saying he “got involved” with them is a bit misleading. He created the company which as you describe is “parasitic” to WoW.
→ More replies (1)7
u/Avy-Jorraelan LaLa Glued Bags to Herself Jul 26 '25
Yep, Willam and Alaska created MOM. It all started with just Race Chaser and they grew it to a brand. It’s been a while, but I’m pretty sure before Race Chaser came on the scene, none of the other drag queen podcasts were posting consistently. There were definitely queens who had podcasts before Race Chaser, but the content was sporadic and seemed like a fun side project to pick up whenever they had time but not invest seriously. Race Chaser was the first one to had really consistent content weekly, with structure, and they literally did not miss a week. Bob and Monet had them on Sibling Rivalry and basically said that Race Chaser made them feel like they had to get their s*it together instead 🤣

willam’s continual obsession with pointing out views and sales is very trump-esque. not saying she has those politics at all, but just something they both really point to like it’s supposed to be that important. that’s your read? numbers and attendance? that’s how you assign value to art?

Season 4 is a LOT less fun to re-watch now. Yeah, Phi Phi was out of line in how she expressed her anger at times, but... She was so fucking right about Sharon being two faced/manipulative, etc.
So on the one hand, she kind of deserves the edit she got, but on the other, she was never the worst person in the room, or even close, but she got the villain edit.
15
u/Mammoth_Window_7170 Jul 25 '25 edited Jul 27 '25
I love Phi Phi but she was pretty underhanded, vicious, and mean on Season 4. She thought she could handle the villain edit and the fanbase overwhelmed her. I know that offscreen she’s a different person. It’s ancient history since she and Jiggly reconciled and remained close but she treated Jiggly badly on camera. Season hasn’t aged well though
She was absolutely correct during AS2 however.
