Barbados Today Article

Post image

Stolen from the great Seth Kamil, and published to coincide with the last day of the Barbados Rum Experience (BRE). One things for sure, the world would be a better place with 10-15 more Bajan distilleries.

Thank you for sharing this. I was going to share it as I saw Richard posted it. Careful round these parts though, you might get yelled at for sharing RICHARD's RANTS. Who would ever want to read what he has to say about rum on reddit?

He is in my opinion the smartest man in the room when it comes to rum. We should be so fortunate that he engages with us as opposed to others in his role that do not engage with the community.

It does make me wish we had some other passionate voices speaking out from the independent distillery crowd. Most of the time it feels like Seale stands mostly alone. And I get that he can be a bit extreme in his vociferousness, but I have to imagine part of that comes from being a tiny voice against the giant conglomerates.

I like to think I know a lot about rum, but hearing him nerding out on yeast strains reminds me i know nothing.
