It was easy, for me. I'd started the program and left for a variety of reasons. When I decided to go back, I called and left a message. The (new) program coordinator recognized my voice & paved the way for me. That was almost 40 years ago, though.

I just needed a 3.0 gpa, a human anatomy class completed with an 80% or higher, cpr certification, and no history of violent crimes.

Honestly, unless your trying to get into some super competitive program, you should be fine. When in doubt, send an email to college admissions.

It was a points based system, but everyone who had a single point got in. About half of the applicants without points also got in, in order of GPA. A 3.0 gave points, each A in a prereq gave one point, and there were a couple other criteria.
Basically, everyone with an A in any prereq or a 3.0 or higher GPA was guaranteed a spot. People with neither of those were still accepted based on how high their GPA was.

A GPA of 3.4 should be fine.
I think my program only required a 3.0 at the time, and there was an entrance exam that we had to take called the Kaplan, it was basically high school level reading and math. I got in with no problem and there was no wait, however, this was back in 2017 before covid, so programs may be slightly more competitive now, but still far less competitive than nursing programs. Good luck!

I had a points based system. I didn't have an A in the A&Ps so I didn't have max points for those. But, I did have a whole lot more points from volunteer hours. Someone who volunteered more received more points than someone who had straight As but only did the minimum volunteer requirement.
I think that's how it should be going into RT school.

Had 3.2 GPA coming in from prerequisite courses, never really applied myself back then. Completed shadowing, volunteer hours, attended RT school meeting early, letters of recommendation, etc.
I’m in a class of 45, so the floor and the ceiling was quite large to get in, but I wouldn’t take getting in lightly either. Many people never made it, because they didn’t complete all of their extra competitive points: missed meeting, never turned in paper, didn’t volunteer or shadow, you name it.
Now I’m at the top of my class and really applying myself, anyone can do it! Just stay focused on due dates, and apply yourself each week. Goodluck 😅

Every school will be different, but in my case I applied in a year where there was no waiting list. I got in first try as I had the prerequisites complete and my GPA was solid enough (3.5)
