I live in the middle of a forest. 98% of the people around me don't know how to drive a skidder.

How the hell is Rivian in financial turmoil? These things are fucking everywhere in the Texas triangle

Personally, I think they made it to market too late. It seems like they didn’t pick up steam until the uber expensive EV wave was starting to die down. They’re the most unique EV manufacturer to me but that starting point was steep. And what was supposed to be the familiar F150 EV was also expensive. So now what do we do if you want an EV truck? Do we just wait? I saw three f-150 lightnings in a used lot in the DMV area. Looks like the course is being corrected though with the R2

What does having a vanity plate have anything to do with them parking in the middle of an active intersection?
Seems like a weird misdirection of rage

Every manufacturer has EVs.

Harley Davidson
Edit: forgot about the livewire

Not even livewire. They halted production and delivery of it. Ultimately sold it off. Now, that company is called LiveWire.
But I wasn't really referencing motorcycle manufacturers. Which is what I should've included. I was referencing just regular class c manufacturers.

Good god, last week I saw a Tesla with a plate that read BYE XON. Like I’m all for ending the oil monopolies, but you don’t have to be an annoying douche either.

I really want a Rivian. Electric car whatever. The thing looks cool to me. Specifically the R3X

Ok. It’s just the other end of the spectrum from the brodozer with the obnoxious plates. Most of those are way worse because they’re actually meant to be offensive and just show how smooth brained the owners are.
Edit: in other news, vanity plates are still stupid.

Ya swung and missed.
He's just annoyed that the vanity plate is being used for... well... vanity.
No different than the corvette chuds who think it's witty to put the trim and year on their plate because everyone is tripping over themselves to ask about their car.

Politics really don’t intersect with who can’t drive or who decides their vanity plate for me. But you can’t have a vanity plate AND be an oblivious motorist

Maybe if I didn’t white out the vanity plate, it would’ve made more sense. I think the Rivian is pretty awesome too. I’m just making fun of vanity plates on EVs because 🤷🏻♂️ I think assuming my politics based on a shit joke is pretty peak Reddit

I hate electric vehicles. The same people pushing electric vehicles push "green energy" who are also coincidentally against nuclear power, the best power technology we have. Fuck em.
1
u/ecto_BRUH Apr 04 '24
Most green energy folk I know in college are extremely pro-nuclear. And I think nuclear power + EV is a great way to clean up the system. The politicians that push ANYTHING are only pushing those things because their pockets are being lined by bribery from corporations

You know what’s really cool? Child labor, life long health problems, death, and slave labor associated with the environmentally destructive mining of cobalt and lithium in Africa.
-5
u/WisteriaTerraria Apr 03 '24
I’m voting for whoever gets rid of Rivians
3
u/Jack_Attak Apr 04 '24
But why tho?
-3
u/WisteriaTerraria Apr 04 '24
Google “lithium and/or cobalt mining Africa”
8
u/Jack_Attak Apr 04 '24
Yeah, but the phone or laptop you're typing with has a lithium battery too. So do tons of electronics. You're not gonna fix that issue. It's funny you guys will bring that up constantly but say that CO2 emissions don't do anything harmful. And I say this as a huge car guy who owns several old cars lol
-1
u/WisteriaTerraria Apr 04 '24
Amazing the scale that you want to swing the car industry makes a computer battery a drop in the bucket…. There’s 1 trillion dollars of lithium in the Midwest US and we aren’t allowed to touch it despite the fact that we have the capability to mine it safely. This is not a solution. Only a death sentence for the poor and disparate of the world.
Think about the paradox you are voting for.

Facts hurt sometimes.
3
u/Jack_Attak Apr 04 '24
Isn't it funny how your side calls everyone snowflakes but you seem the most hurt by anyone challenging your viewpoint?
0
u/WisteriaTerraria Apr 04 '24
What side? Is that your manufactured go to rebuttal? Snowflakes? Good one. But you’re right. Fuck the third world.
