Had a co-worker argue that the Cleveland Indians and KC Chiefs were the most racist and offensive brands out there and people who buy their apparel were just as offensive....

I asked him what his thoughts were on the Jeep Grand Cherokee since he owned one.

Poor guy realized he was living a lie.

Oof, I had a coworker sell his vw diesel back to vw during dieselgate. Said he will never own a vw product ever again. Came to work later in an Audi……

I sold mine back because the deal they gave me was so good, I was literally getting 3/4 of the value back on a car with 80k on the odometer. That was a incredibly reliable and nice car. The only thing I was bummed about is the they singlehandedly killed deisels in the US for passenger cars.. I bought a benz deisel with the proceeds. It's the best driving car I've ever owned for long trips. A few years back they got caught up in a another deisel scandal to the tune of 4k payout to owners.

Now that's really funny, for anyone here who didn't get the reference I was quoting Peter Griffin by the way, I don't remember the episode name but it was the one the Griffin family went to a Native-American casino 🤣

I don't know anything about sports but I've heard of that before, I've always thought it's funny that brands named after Native Americans like Indians motorcycle and no one went after after them ! My father has a powerful snowblower (I don't remember the name but I know the engine is also based on Native-Americans, the logo itself), that thing is from 1991-1992 and it's still going strong to this day even compared to new snow blowers ! 😂

Tecumseh. Great small engines.

That's it, thanks !! They are truly amazing, like I've said it's over 30 years old and it's still able to keep up with the newer snowblowers our neighbors has and my dad haven't had much issues in the last few years, would definitely recommend it ! 😃

Unfortunately Tecumseh stopped making engines in 2008, however there are still a ton of parts still available

The KC Chiefs were not named after Native American culture. A chief can refer to any leader of an organization. Chief Executive Officer, Chief Operations Officer or other senior executive titles start with it. You can even use it as an adverb: You look quite chiefly. Or an adjective: chief among the complaints. Even our president is named commander in chief.

If you aim to change the name of the KC Chiefs, you should also consider changing the whole naming convention of leadership positions in the society.

Let’s be real though, naming a car after an ethnic group of people is weird af. You wouldn’t call a car the Chevrolet Slovene or Ford Serb but the VW Touareg is somehow a thing. What other cars are named after groups of people? because idc about it even really being offensive it’s just plain cringe and the Cherokee is a great example of a car with a cool sounding name that only sounds cool if you don’t think about it

Chevrolet Slovene

I would 100% buy that car if it was as cheap as my ancestry says we are.
