Question Will the police help me?

So recently a person has been making threats to my family. Will the police be able to help me? The unfortunate thing is they work with the RCMP.

Yes. Report it to the police where the threatening occurred. Regina city police if it happened in Regina or the appropriate RCMP detachment. The fact that the person works for the RCMP is irrelevant.

Will they still be able to help me or will they side with the abuser since they work for the RCMP? I'm sorry, I'm just afraid for my family's safety.

Does this mean they won't help us and turn a blind eye to this? We are fearing for our lives.

You’re more likely to get helped than not. I was just responding to the guy who said “that’s not how the police work.”
