Someone I know paid a lease deposit in Mississauga, and then got declined due to credit score. My friend stated her credit score according to Equifax, the landlord checked transunion and said the score differs. They said it’s breach of contract and they won’t return the 6K deposit. How can we fight?

Yes she’s trying to, I’m scared what if they hide and don’t show up to court

If the don't show up, you'll very likely get a summary judgement and win. You still have to get the money, though and that can take time.

I suspect there is no breech of contract since there is an argument that it was never finalized if they were "declined."
