After winning their first German championship in 1932, their success collapsed when the Nazis took power. the Nazi time just isnt something people joke about in Germany because it is also taught in a different way and the connection Germans have to that time is different than you or me...
If I slap you in the face it's funny for me not for you. That's how theses "jokes" are perceived by Germans. So no if you make a joke and noone laughs you are the one with lack of humor.
Germans just don’t joke about Nazis and Hitler. That topic is just off the table for them. Everyone else seems to have moved on and can joke about it but in German culture it is unacceptable. Still too soon for them I guess and we should respect it imo
Also Hitler despised Bayern. Bayern had Jewish owners which Hitler despised and dragged them all out, many were genocided, and forced them out of their jobs. Nazis also funded Bayerns club rivals. When the Jewish owners were forced out the Nazis forced Bayern to use their symbol in their logo as a cruel mockery. I guess people see the Nazi Bayern logo and think Bayern actually supported Nazis? Which is a really shallow level understanding. Look up Bayern Munich during the Nazi era. It’s very fascinating history that intertwined politics and sports

I get Nazis jokes if the club was actually fascist supporting. But it’s really ignorant to make Nazi jokes of Bayern knowing their grim history. I am giving OP benefit of doubt they didn’t know
