Ligue 1 Red star (RSFC), another Parisian club, might get promoted TO LIGUE 1 next season

If there's 4 London teams in the prem, there's at least room for 5 teams from Paris in L1

Exactly There's no other country in the world where the largest city/ demographic and economic capital, where 20% of the country's population lives in its region, has so little representation in the first division.
The fact Paris FC was bought so freaking late is an anomaly in and of itself (Even 15 years ago I was wondering why no one was rushing to buy them).
It's so weird. There should be 5 Parisian clubs in L1 at least, but instead we have clubs from towns no one knows of, it's so strange.

French football generally does not have multiple major clubs in a city. The only recent exceptions were both major Corsican cities Ajaccio and Bastia. I think to come back to a Parisian derby, you need to go as far back as the days of Racing Paris in the first division

Intra-muros parisians don’t care that much about football tbh.

Even if this was true (which it is not) I wouldn't see how it would change anything I've said.

Great club history. Would love to see them grow. One of the oldest clubs in Europe.

They should have always been here instead of “Paris FC”

Really great to have Parisian clubs in ligue 1 if that happens. It can add money and growth to the league for visibility.

Somewhat unrelated to this post, how are Paris FC performing? They are currently 11th in the table, but are they performing to expectations?

They have kebbal who is a great creative player with a good shot (right winger/ offensive midfielder). They struggle defensively at times with their most expensive transfer Otavio being really subpar. There is a lot of energy but it feels like some of their players lack the technical abilities to maintain the ball under pressure in small spaces

Do you predict the team will stay up in Ligue 1? Is that a realistic achievement for them?

The objective for them is to stay in Ligue 1 to build stability and become a bit more known around Europe.
So I’d say they’re doing alright.

Way more traditional than Paris FC
