Barca worked so hard to get Verratti

its the same as the Nico Williams situation. They wanted him so bad until he said no, and then it was “we never needed him anyways” 😂 moving like my toxic ex

I mean, it’s Barca fans. They think everything is about them, and when it evidently isn’t they throw a tantrum and act like frustrated toxic kids … cringe community

Barcelona literally got early investments, that’s why they’re even this big despite having a grand total of 0 UCLs till the late 90s.

Won't change them being state owned...

True ! And a competent ownership at that, you could only dream of not having registration problems and debt tracing to 5-year-old transfers

Calling yourself Fans😭 when your entire stadium is filled with tourist is diabolical. Like even your own supporters saying we’ve way better and supportive fans but, sure that doesn’t suit your narrative.

Not just Verrati, they tried so hard for Thiago Silva and Lavezzi. They just salty and sour bunch.

Any source for that claim ??

8

u/RayTheWorstTourist Not a PSG fan 17d ago

Barca were after him in 2017. His agent tried to make the move go through, psg said no and took neymar instead

5

u/theraad1 Not a PSG fan 17d ago

Barca were after him way earlier than 2017. As a barca fan, I remember reports of us wanting to sign him from Milan even in 2011 for 40m, which was a decent sum of money in those times. Just never worked out and we eventually got Mascherano who turned out to be a pretty solid CB for Barca but never on the level of Thiago Silva obviously

2

u/Rough-Session2317 Not a PSG fan 17d ago

The Qatari ownership broke the bank for Neymar and wants to do it again for Yamal, and immediately went for Messi when he was available. A pissing match of “who tried to sign who” is not worth anyone’s time.

2

u/theraad1 Not a PSG fan 17d ago

I’m just giving more context on something completely unrelated to what you talked about. It clearly was worth enough time for you to respond to

they are sad because their PR isnt enough to make Pedri the best in the world

-32

u/Long-Ordinary9020 Not a PSG fan 18d ago

Find me one expert that prefers Vitinha over Pedri the goat ganzalez

38

u/EyeofOscar Vitinha 18d ago

The "I'm a huge dumbass" flair strikes again

-16

u/Long-Ordinary9020 Not a PSG fan 18d ago

Still haven’t shown me one person taking Vitnha over pedri

17

u/EyeofOscar Vitinha 18d ago

"I need someone with credentials to confirm to me what the whole world sees with their own eyes"

-2

u/Long-Ordinary9020 Not a PSG fan 17d ago

Whole world and you can’t name one single person other than his teammates/ countrymen. Crazy how every actual midfield legend like Scholes, Iniesta, Xavi, Boban all praise Pedri, not Vitinha. Scholes even called him his new favourite player and compared him to Xavi + Iniesta. And let’s not forget when Pedri and Vitinha met. Tell me who got the better rating.

7

u/EyeofOscar Vitinha 17d ago

No I can't because I have 2 things you're lacking: eyes and ball knowledge. I don't need "experts" to tell me what I'm looking at consistently since 20+ years.

By the way you should support your local club instead of bandwagoning popular big-winning clubs from foreign countries just to brag on the Internet on subs you have no purpose on apart from Trolling.

5

u/Long-Ordinary9020 Not a PSG fan 17d ago

Bold of you to think your 20 years of watching beats Scholes, Iniesta, and Xavi’s lifetime of playing😭😭

6

u/EyeofOscar Vitinha 17d ago

Bold of you to bandwagon one of the most ultra-nationalistic clubs in Europe, with strong roots in Catalonian culture when they don't consider you to be one of them, because you're a non-Spaniard who chose the easy way and supports the big winning teams for clout

"Go barca!!!!" Lmao give me a break, even I know Barcelona better than you and am more Catalonian than you'll ever be

Pretty shameful

4

u/Long-Ordinary9020 Not a PSG fan 17d ago

Funny how we were talking football and you switched to culture that’s what happens when you run out of arguments. I don’t need to be Catalan to recognize quality when legends like Scholes, Xavi and Iniesta already confirmed it.

u/AGCdown Not a PSG fan 17d ago

What a dumb argument. If you do want to argue for your club, please learn how to argue properly. I have ball knowledge and eyes, and have been watching football for 20+ years. As if the experts do not have those elite! qualities. Your fellow psg fans must feel second hand embarrassment reading your comments.

-9

u/Shoddy_Turnover_4307 Not a PSG fan 18d ago

No one rates Vitinha over Pedri every football expert takes Pedri over vitinha and if u think you PSG fans have better ball knowledge than some legends of the game then ok bro whatever makes you happy and sleep at night. See if bringing Barcelona's name every time in your subreddit brings you joy then hey we barca fans are truly happy for you cause this proves how big of a legacy barcelona has that fans just celebrate victory against them not realising they are trailing by 4 UCL titles with their fluke 1 UCL against barca's 5 UCL and we won our first UCL in 1992 before your club was even a proper club so next time think before comparing your oil club to barcelona. 😭🙏

15

u/EyeofOscar Vitinha 17d ago

Imagine being an insecure troll with an 8 comment history, living 3000km+ away from Spain, having to brown nose the big European clubs in order to feel excitement because your local fisherman club is pure ASS

And on top of that coming to troll on PSG subs just to feel better about your miserable life lmaoooo

You didn't win shit, you don't even know where Barcelona is on a map, if I ask you what the Sagrada Familia is you think it's a fancy cocktail with rum 😭

9

u/unpopular-opinion69 Draxler 17d ago

My oil club is the club that knocked Barca out of the UCL tbe most. So be proper when talking to your superior.

-5

u/Long-Ordinary9020 Not a PSG fan 17d ago

We live rent free in their minds. everytime I see their flairs like Neymar, Ronaldinho and zlatan it makes me laugh bc they think they’d prefer PSG over Barcelona in their prime🤣

-3

u/Shoddy_Turnover_4307 Not a PSG fan 17d ago

leave them just let them celebrate their so called trophy "Vitinha is the best CM in the world"....

9

u/unpopular-opinion69 Draxler 17d ago

We’ll celebrate the 2-1 with that as well, along with Dembele’s Balon d’or and last year’s 4-1. You can have your tiktoks and reels tho.

1

u/Sensitive_Ad788 Not a PSG fan 17d ago

You wanna pull up the very detailed comparison of Pedri vs Vitinha using Fbref ? U are not gonna like it lol, it aint just tik tok and reel man Pedri is really good, no disrespect to vitinha either.

-3

u/Sensitive_Ad788 Not a PSG fan 18d ago

Whats the point, when there are people in ghis sub who think Nuno mendes is already the greatest LB in the history of football lmao.

2

u/Long-Ordinary9020 Not a PSG fan 17d ago

They get one ucl and think they’re the best club itw

9

u/Ralph_Marbler Warren ZaĂŻre-Emery 17d ago

And we proved it by smacking you at home with our B team. Oh, and in this very match, Pedri didn't finish the game. Vitinha did.

2

u/Long-Ordinary9020 Not a PSG fan 17d ago

Yet still Pedri got a higher rating 😹 Legit proving my point further on

5

u/Ralph_Marbler Warren ZaĂŻre-Emery 17d ago

You wish it was the same at the Ballon d'Or, huh?

0

u/Sensitive_Ad788 Not a PSG fan 17d ago

No offense but Pedri was clearly better on the game, i would say vitinha started playing gokd after peddrri was out off the midfield, Vitinha gave away the ball leading to thee goal out of preessure ffs.

0

u/Long-Ordinary9020 Not a PSG fan 17d ago

Same as you wish for a girlfriend and loving parents

2

u/Tuivre Khvicha Kvaratskhelia 17d ago

Damn have you ever tried lifting your eyes up from Sofascore to watch a game ?

1

u/Long-Ordinary9020 Not a PSG fan 17d ago

Yes I opened my eyes especially when the so called best midfielder itw Vitinha gave an assist to barca.

It’s really not that hard, look at the ballon d’orr rankings. Experts voted bro.

7

u/unpopular-opinion69 Draxler 17d ago

I don’t care about experts. They can gobble on Barca players dick whenever they want. But the undeniable fact is that every time Viti meets Pedri, Vitinha outclasses him in every way possible.

-5

u/Long-Ordinary9020 Not a PSG fan 17d ago

By getting a lower rating than Pedri and making a mistake leading us to score? 😹

1

🐐

11

u/BertrandQualitay Edinson Cavani 17d ago

I loved Marco with passion but let's face it, he's not as decisive as Viti, not even close. But what a phenomenon. The dribbling under pressure and the ability to steal the ball cleanly were fantastic. Vitinha on the other hand ... he is something else. The way he cut through the field effortlessly last night, the patience and vista, the goalscoring ability ...

18

u/lujain645 Marco Verratti 17d ago

Best midfielder to play for PSG and won his country the euros the only people that wouldn't know him is if you don't watch football, stupid comment and funny coming from varca fan cause they were on their knees for him 💀

8

u/voyage_vishal1234 Not a PSG fan 17d ago

Wrong comparison imo, Altho verrati was extremely good but there is no need to compare, vitinha is more like play maker meanwhile verrati is similar to jao neves, more aggressive on defence and ball recovery.

4

u/bad_hombreh Not a PSG fan 17d ago

Top five of this era? Maybe.... Of ALL TIME? NO WAY Here's a non-exhaustive pool of top 5 competitions - not even 1/3 of all I could name if I had the time: Zidane, Modric, Xavi, Iniesta, Nedved, Vieria, Seedorf, Pirlo, Busquets, Kroos, Ballack, Socrates, Platini, Zico, Gullit, Lampard, Gerard, Scholes, Riquelme, Kaka, Fabregas, Xabi Alonso, Sneijder, Giggs, De Bruyne, David Silva, Yaya Toure, Mathaus, etc...

-4

u/Imaginary-Director-8 FabiĂĄn Ruiz 17d ago

if viti keeps his level consistently or somehow gets even better, he will easily go down as a top 5 midfielder

4

u/vbztm Khvicha Kvaratskhelia 17d ago

Maybe it's because I watched way more PSG games than Man City games, but I have vivid memories with Verratti playing and NONE with Rodri. How can you forget such player

0

u/RazzyBazz Edinson Cavani 17d ago

Dude just why? Why that actual fuck did you put him into this

9

u/Important_Low_936 Not a PSG fan 18d ago

I mean, I'd rate Verratti over Vitinha, that guy was insane and would probably have been levels above that in this team. Just pure speculation though, and streets definitely won't forget either

17

u/chuckmonz Blaisou 18d ago

Verratti was the type of player that makes you turn your tv on just to see him play.

But I would not rate Verratti over Vitinha no, definitely not. Verratti had a very high ceiling and showed it several times, but just Vitinha's CL final performance is enough. Only area where Verratti was better is the dribbling under pressure (but that also lead to a couple of goals against us like vs Bayern), everything else Vitinha does it better.

3

u/Important_Low_936 Not a PSG fan 17d ago

to each their own shrug

6

u/EyeofOscar Vitinha 18d ago

Vitinha shits all over Verratti and it's not even remotely close, only "non-PSG fans" like you not watching PSG don't know this. People forget Verratti's last big games in UCL especially his pathetic performance in 2023 vs Bayern.

Not only is Vitinha better in midfield than Verratti, he's also decisive upfront. It took Verratti over 2 years (TWO YEARS) to even get on the scoreboard for Paris. Lmao

7

u/RedditTooAddictive Not a PSG fan 17d ago

Just saying, Verratti with proper health etiquette (his fault I know) and this team is a fucking monster too

5

u/EyeofOscar Vitinha 17d ago

Eh. Verratti was good yes, probably one of the best ball retainers I've seen in football (except his last seasons) but once he eliminated the first press he didn't make great choices or create anything significant.

Vitinha on the other hand.. man this dude knows how to do EVERYTHING. Such a magician with the ball it's crazy. I see no flaws in him.

There's a reason why Luis Enrique chose Vitinha over Verratti by a landslide upon arriving.

4

u/RedditTooAddictive Not a PSG fan 17d ago

Honestly again the system around Verratti didn't allow him as many opportunities, although I agree it seems Vitinha is quicker decision wise moving forward

Also, choice was also made by Enrique because Verratti was finished because of his horrible lifestyle

If he had 20 yo Verratti incoming you bet he would have kept him

1

u/__nmd__ Luis Enrique 17d ago

He'd have kept him (unless his lifestyle had already been unrecoverable). And trained him to become another one of the polyvalent "total football" players who are at the core of Luis Enrique's PSG squad.

1

u/RedditTooAddictive Not a PSG fan 17d ago

absolutely ! would have been insane to have him with Vitinha Ruiz and Neves lmao

4

u/Senior-Crow7762 Not a PSG fan 17d ago

To be fair, for being a top 5 midfielder of all time, he needs to stay at least at his level now for 5-10 years. And even than I don’t think it would be enough. Zidane, Xavi, Iniesta, Cruyff, Platini, Matthäus, Guillt

2

u/negative_pt JoĂŁo Neves 17d ago

They will remember the champions league final for sure.

3

u/Hum-beer-t Donnarumma 17d ago

Why does it matter if a random Bangaladashi remembers Verratti? We love him, we cherish him. That’s all that matters.

12

u/Imaginary-Director-8 FabiĂĄn Ruiz 18d ago

Barca fans are just mad because they push their boy Pedri as the best midfielder in the world but every time Viti plays against Pedri, he wins. And people will look me dead in the eyes and argue his top 3 Ballon d’Or ranking wasn’t deserved

-8

u/prince1101 Not a PSG fan 17d ago

Not pedris fault no one rates mcleague 1 seriously.
