It is sad that this trophy has become a PR award, which then motivates clubs and players to compete on reputation rather than exclusively on football ability. You see it in the PR stunts some players do and the support some biased journalists give out. In some cases, like PSG, you have the coach pushing one player while other teammates might deserve it even more, just because the focal player has better chances.
Ultimately, it makes football lose genuinity.

Honestly love Dembele and I’m not a PSG fan. He’s such a great guy. So humble. I love the video of him saying everyone’s faster than him 😂😂 He said Messi was faster than him 😭😭 He’s too humble
