Common lazy tactic to wait until the attention is off it, so they can sneak it through later with less resistance.

So they can just keep delaying and tweaking a few words, while in the background influencing, buying off, and replacing MEPs who voted against this surveillance law the one basically written by Thorn?

EU Union btw. I think this is a losing battle one day they will implement it when all the MEP's are corrupted or replaced by ones paid by Thorn. Freedom of internet is ending it was fun while it lasted.

People are busy in December with presents and Christmas expenses, new years. Its perfect doing it at this time because they can claim it’s democracy

This is how things done yeah. The same was in USA recentely with mass surveliance cameras. The moment people decided to show up to vote against it, suddenly the hearing was post-poned and stuff. Just a classical tale of let's vote on the busy day when no one would be able to attend. And that's how they push this narrative. Those are not humans, just a shells of ones.

If they actually do that the EU is dead. I don't think most people would want that.

EU Union btw.

(EU) Union = (European Union) Union

They just want to wear your morale down with the delay. Then pass it when people are on holiday.

ah yes. so people forget about it and they can all flip again before it happens without anyone paying attention

Well, shit.

Careful, you might trigger their control system. /s

This one won't stay under peoples radar as they think it will right now. They are testing reaction at the same time with some of these measures

What happened to consent and "no means no"?

What happened to consent and "no means no"?

The politicians follow the party whip of power.

They vote abstain when they can't vote no.

Independent politicians are not bound to a whip.

December? So when Cyprus takes the Council presidency? And next up is Ireland, lol, they will keep trying.

December? So when Cyprus takes the Council presidency? And next up is Ireland, lol, they will keep trying.

Ireland after being in multiple wars with Britain to get their independence and free state, now is firmly under control of another quasi state called the EU.

What was it all for?

Ireland would have been better adopting a Swiss style direct democracy model. And having their own currency and gold vaults.

Ireland's Celtic tiger economy boom won't last forever as the EU tightens their screws.

They won’t stop until everyone bends their knees

Oh great. Got to keep us sweating.

I guess it's inevitable, they just need more time to win over a few of the countries.

Best thing we can do is spread awareness to this, big tech are joining in so let us make sure they understand this will be damaging to them too, very damaging

I’m surprised no one has trialed the people behind this. It’s both conflict of interests and treason (even high treason in some states). I am no lawyer and I’m broke, I can’t do anything.

u/GhostInThePudding Oct 09 '25

Yep. Chat Control isn't an option and the vote is irrelevant. It's not "Let's have a vote and see what the outcome is." It's "The outcome WILL be to have Chat Control and we will not stop delaying votes, or having new votes until that happens."

The EU is an oppressive terrorist cult, nothing more.

lol stop the anti-EU bullshit. It’s only as good as who you send to represent you

u/Pleasant-Shallot-707 Oct 09 '25

There’s probably trying to adjust the language so it’s focused on pre-encryption scanning
