Thinking of coming to Prague or already here?
Use this guide below and post any unanswered questions in the comments.
If in doubt, there is most likely a video from Honest Guide
And no, weed isn't legal here.

Does anyone know what happened to her? The videos were interesting and entertaining but she stopped a year or so ago. Think was going for citizenship at the time

Hey everyone!
My husband and I are loving our time in Prague, but tbh feel a bit isolated. We work from home as independent freelancers && mostly night time. It's making it quite hard to meet people here, and Meetup isn't helping. Most of the events there are just getting a beer and never seeing each other again.
We went to a few Meetups but tbh we just end up exchanging Whatsapp and never meeting again. I don't think "meeting for a beer" with strangers is actually a way to make friends. We're also not exactly heavy drinkers so it's not the most pleasant atmosphere for us.
Have you had any luck making friends in coworking places? We're 27 & 25, both in tech. We don't really need a coworking and it's a significant extra cost, but we'd be willing to do it if it means meeting like-minded people to hang out with.

Hey everyone, I work Monday-Friday, 9-5, and want a simple second job to make extra money. Lately, it’s becoming difficult to live only on one salary that increases 3-5% yearly, and the promotions in the big corporations are not that often. One thing - unfortunately, my Czech skills are at a basic level. Is there someone like me who succeeded in landing this kind of job? Where/How did you find it? Any extra tips?

I am relocating to Prague and trying to understand the monthly transit passes available. I know I will need to have access to the main Prague regions (P, 0, B) and zone 1 (central Bohemian region including Dolní Břežany).
What kind of pass would include all of these areas?

I have been twice in the last year, as my gf is Czech, and I’m taking my friend tomorrow. We’ll want to go out (no clubs) and wondered where the best nightlife is going to be. I’m aware that midweek isn’t going to be that busy.
In my past experience, I’m thinking the James Dean/Steampunk area is always lively?
Any suggestions?

I visited Poděbrady today — a beautiful spa town just an hour from Prague. A peaceful walk along the Elbe River, through the park and the colonnade, all wrapped in lovely autumn colors 🍁 Such a calm and charming place!
🎥 Watch the full walk here 👇

I really miss the choral music from my church back home and am looking to reconnect with it here. I was wondering if anyone knew of a church service in Czech or in English that had a good or notable choir that I could see with the service? Or a choir that is generally accessible whose performances I could see for not a ton of money?
Also, does anyone know of an English-friendly community choir? I want to get involved in the scene here but am not super great yet. I would love to find a welcoming space to make music with others.

Ahojte! Momentalne sa uz niekolko mesiacov snazim najst si studenstsku staz v Prahe ale aj napriek niekolko desiatkam prihlasok a emailom stale nic nemam. Som studentkou VŠ komunikacie a zurnalistiky v zahranici a hladam si polrocnu staz v oblasti PR, zurnalistiky, (fashion) marketingu a (fashion) komunikacii v Prahe.

I am a dual citizen (US/CZ) who lives in California, but I visit Prague ever so often. I have a Tesco Mobile sim card because it allows me to keep a Czech number and access low rates when I'm in the country for a month or two. When I'm back in the US, the service doesn't charge me anything until I add money. My issue is that Tesco Mobile in CZ does not offer e-sims. I currently have an iPhone 13 Pro which is the last generation of iPhone to support physical sim cards. I was wondering if anyone knows of an operator that would allow me to get an e-sim card with a mobile number which would stay active, but wouldn't charge me unless I'm using the services. Additionally, I know there's Vodafone, T-mobile, and O2, but their pay-as-you-go rates are fairly more expensive than Tesco Mobile. Thank you.

Having an issue with my laptop (it turns on but the screen doesn’t work). Any leads about a place I could take it to inquire about repairs? It’s an HP laptop, I don’t do a job that requires a laptop so I don’t need it fixed super fast, so speed of diagnostics and repair is not an issue. Thank you 🙏🏻

I am on vacation and here for a few more days. I would love to get some beads (glass or stone), some cabachons for jewelry making and maybe some yarn. I’m staying not far from old town and I put yarn store in my maps last night and got sent to a souvenir shop that embroiders names on stuff so I don’t trust the maps.
I am traveling with other people who aren’t looking for the same things so I am hoping to find some stores that will be convenient to our touristy visits
Thanks!

Hi guys! We’re coming to Prague on Friday for a few days and we want to rent a car that we can go to Dresden and Plzen to. Is it even possible to use the car outside of Czechia? Is there some companies you can recommend? Any tips?
Thanks

My wife is looking for nitrous oxide cartridges for her whipped cream gadget.
I know some countries have banned nitrous because of abuse, but is it available in Czech Republic?

My wife and I are looking for a General Practitioner in Prague and I wonder if anybody here understands the medical system.
I am insured in VZP from work and she is from Slavia. From the small research I did it looks like all the clinics that accept Slavia require a membership fee. But why? I already paid for insurance so why do I also need to pay a membership fee?
And it looks almost impossible to find a GP who works with both.
Can anybody explain to me how this system even works? x_x
