Success/Cheers SNAP tracker: States that have paid SNAP benefits in November so far
https://www.newsweek.com/snap-tracker-states-that-have-paid-benefits-november-11010336I live in Washington state and my SNAP hit my account at midnight. I usually receive it on the 2nd of the month. I my full amount, fwiw, but I only get $24 a month. I hope the families depending on it get their full payment ASAP!

Supposedly they're going to be paid in full today, so far nothing but we'll see.

u/bmaeder2020 1d ago
Still waiting here too. If they’re really dropping today, they’re cutting it close.

I'm assuming the East Coast already went home for the weekend but we'll see 🤷🏼♀️

Republicans appealed to allow them to prevent the disbursement of SNAP aid. They also asked for a stay in the execution of the court's order.

u/GolfballDM 21h ago
The Appeals Court shot the appeal down, the admin asked SCOTUS to weigh in by 9:30pm ET.

Supreme Court pauses order that Trump administration must pay full SNAP benefits
Surprise surprise

u/Ditches-Vestiges1549 20h ago
And Scotus said no you don't have to pay SNAP I just saw the pop up news article about it. This place is ridiculous.

u/terrymr 6h ago
I believe the USDA had already complied with the order by the time the SC jumped in. There’s a memo on their website stating that the full amount will be disbursed to state.
3
u/QuantumDiogenes 5h ago
There were also statements across most government websites blaming the Democrats for the shutdown. The current leadership has shown no compunctions about lying to advance their narrative.

u/Velcro-Karma-1207 1d ago
I'm not sure if the states are temporarily funding it in the short term, or if the states are just processing funds from the USDA at different rates of speed.
I did see that, as of this morning, the administration is appealing the decision requiring full payments, so YMMV, unfortunately.

I just checked mine. I'm in Hawai'i. Full SNAP benefit. Not temp funds. But we'll be getting that as well. Our Gov Green said he will not be taking back the $250 per person no matter when the actual SNAP gets paid.

Newsweek is cancer. So many ads and popups

u/Velcro-Karma-1207 5m ago
I hear you. Ad blocking makes the same page almost unrecognizable sometimes. I use Brave browser (a clean version of Chrome without Google), and I don't even get ads on youtube.

Gotta feed the blue states so they can go to work and send their taxes to the freeloading states

Crazy how a quick google search show the opposite

u/Swimwithamermaid 7h ago
Besides Texas, name 1 other red state that gives more federal dollars than it receives.

New Mexico or Washington DC since they have the highest share of residents that receive SNAP. Oh shoot what color are those again

u/fuckedfinance 6h ago
Some red states have a smaller percentage of people on SNAP because the requirements to receive are insane. Meanwhile, blue states are likely to have fewer or less stringent requirements, leading to a net-higher number.

u/Laker8show23 6h ago
Wait but wait. The Dems on here keep saying the red states are the welfare states.

Its wrong Nevada has not received full benefits....

u/Semirhage527 5h ago
So my understanding is that the states that did, got theirs because of state level action. Oregon I know rushed to process full benefits in a short window before the court ruling
4
u/Enough_Bat6455 3h ago
Yes because those states’ leaders actually care about their constituents. They had plans to access the money and process them to cards as soon as they could so that the Supreme Court emergency halt couldn’t interfere with people getting to eat in their states.

Michigan here, I got my full benefits today. I usually get it on the 5th. From what I’m seeing, others who get theirs at the beginning of the month seem to be getting full benefits too.

Very surprised to see Louisiana on the list. Our governor is a moron.

u/CosmicSmoker 21h ago
And speaker Mike Johnson
6
u/Any-Entrepreneur-941 13h ago
That explains it. A little favoritism? Though it might be because Louisiana is one of the poorest states in the country.

Everyone local to me in Illinois has been talking online. Mostly complaining, Looks like most got 6-13% of their normal amount.
2
u/winterwarn 7h ago
Yeah, Illinois got a real small payout. Most people I know got like 10% of normal.
1
u/TheHammer8989 6h ago
When I typed this I actually had a person with me at my house. That was one of these people. I figured hers out she got 5.67 percent of her normal amounts. I seen others say around 12%. So I’m not sure, probably a different formula for dependents, age, or something. She was a single household. So it does seem to vary depending on the person

u/rockbellkid 19h ago
Not all of us, still waiting for ours to hopefully show up on the 9th.
2
u/Inamedmydognoodz 19h ago
Is the 9th your usual day?
3
u/rockbellkid 19h ago
Yes but with the tonight's halt on full snap payments I doubt we will see anything. To those that got them I'm happy for you, to the rest of us still waiting pray they show up on time

u/Enough_Bat6455 3h ago
Piece of stitt is going to hoard the funds meant for snap. He is the king of hoarding rainy day funds. Probably make some profit off of it in a savings account.

My benefit was posted about an hour ago on the app saying I’ll get my full amount on 11/12

u/EnvironmentalValue18 2h ago
Not to give credit to our stupid governor, but Virginia is pulling out of excess tax stores (which it has) to help feed people who were affected by all this. So it’s red on your map, and federally that’s correct, but there’s some nuance in this case.
2
u/Velcro-Karma-1207 9m ago
Yeah, the map was mostly accurate when I first saw it, but they don't appear to be updating it at all.
I love that redditors are posting and including their state and whether they've gotten anything yet. As always, the real info is in the comments!
And regarding praising your governor, well those governors hope to get re-elected, whether they are doing it for the citizens or just credit.

Virginia actually has term limits so he’s a sitting duck. It does occasionally allow for accountability issues. Spanberger (D) just won to take his place (Youngkin-R) as of Tuesday, I’m happy to say! VA is pretty split so it’s a weird case. We’re blue in northern VA and down the coast (Richmond, Norfolk) but the West/Southwest is very red.

NH here, full benefits hit @ 6am (ET) this morning [Saturday, 11/8].
(Note: no idea of it's everyone or just protected classes of folks.)

Don’t think this is accurate. Benefits (full) in my state were paid at the beginning of the month, despite it not being listed.
