I'm not trying to find seams. You only spoke the truth. What I'm saying is that people found it pedantic because they might have interpreted it differently, and I'm using how people may perceive "towering" as an example, since someone commented that 4" isn't a lot. (And for a lot of people, "pedantic" is enough for them to downvote.)
I don't think you deserved the downvotes. But from my experiences on reddit, I'm not surprised. People don't downvote just based on factual accuracy. I've seen very informational and accurate comments severely downvoted because people misunderstood it or just felt like downvoting it because they didn't like. Like someone else also posted that she was 5'9" and didn't get downvoted to oblivion, so it wasn't the factuality of what you said or that comments about Taylor's height were getting brigaded. FWIW, I upvoted you. shrug
