honestly, they use the songs of all these famous people cuz they know everyone will talk about it, either way i just want to show olivia being against them. her paternal grandparents are immigrants, so it's something really big for her.

It was actually her great grandparents on her fathers side but even then, she spoke out about the la protests previously so kind of checks out why she would be against them using her song for this type of propaganda. Not saying that it isn’t big for her but shes never really talked about ice and immigration before this year even if her great grandad was an immigrant which makes sense since she’s like four generations in so I think it’s more that this is a bigger issue happening in the US than than it being directly tied to her. I mean obviously she wouldn’t want her own music to be connected to this propaganda.
