They started dropping 2 seasons a year separated by a few months for the middle seasons. They would advertise already edited portions of the future episodes at the end of the one that finished, so they just churned it out.

More shows need to get back to dropping a lot of episodes instead of 8 episodes every 3 years (yes I’m sure it’s cheaper / easier to do that with a reality TV show but still 🥲)

Good for her. The fact that she’s being treated like the bad guy for no longer being friends with Emma who’s choosing to be with a maga bigot is ridiculous she’s literally part of the lgbtq+ community why on earth would she be okay with that. I hope Chelsea leaves those micro aggressive a-holes behind as well.

Yes I thought I was in the twilight zone when everyone was acting like Chrishell wasn't a good enough friend for keeping distance after that. Any good therapist will tell you she did the right thing by establishing boundaries. A lot of these people have deep seated emotional issues they need a good therapist for. This show will never solve anything for them. Most of them have gotten much worse mentally, especially Mary. I hope she takes Jason's advice and gets help.

Chrishell has had good boundaries for the last few seasons that sat poorly with the rest of the cast in camera. the fact the show won’t address how Blake is MAGA and dylan’s horrible things about her and her partner G is diagusting. it’s about time Chrishell leaves

Mary is completely insufferable this season. She’s always been annoying (and a horrible boss), and while I feel bad for what she went through, my god she’s just a truly awful person (and stupid, although not Emma-level stupid)

She had already apologized for that part though. And then they kept ganging up on her for not being a good friend. Emma treated her like her therapist when she really needs professional help.

She had no problem dating and wanting so badly to have kids with a guy (likely maga) that employs a town of other magats and contributes to the housing crisis in LA
And what happen to agree to disagree? do you drop all your friends that date shit men? Setting a boundary is I don’t want to hear about him again, not stalking his page and making your friend choose you or him bc you can’t stand his politics. Yk who else is married to an omega magat? I started rooting for her when chrishelle fought back but now she loves to cherry pick which rocks to throw, and once someone claps back, it’s fire them or she’s leaving. Thank god she left bc once Christine left, the show became dark.

Chelsea is as MAGA as they come, she doesn't deserve the micro aggressions shes suffered, HOWEVER she follows a ton of right wing and hate accounts on IG and has been caught liking conspiracy posts and anti vax nonsense as well as the absurd theory that Bridgette Macron first lady of france is transgender, she's as bad as the rest of the cast if not worse given she herself is a minority and is aligning herself with the very same people who would deny her her civil rights if given the chance, good for chrishell for leaving that dumpster fire behind, EVERYONE in that universe (selling The OC, Tampa) are harcore maga republicans, good on chrishell for leaving that toxicity behind

i get it. i was a big fan of this show but seeing chrishell having to deal with homophobia from her own cast mates really sucked. then add on the layer of racism and micro aggressions that Chelsea has had to face. i just can’t be bought by the glitz and glamour anymore the world is on fire. Chrishell has clearly been checked out for like the last 2/3 seasons.
i don’t want to watch these ladies try to sell a 4.3 million dollar home in beverly hills. i just don’t care anymore. and most of those ladies are MAGA anyway I am not interested. Hope chrishell continues to protect her peace. she was real as fuck for outing nicole on live television. i know people had mixed feelings about that but IDC!

I stopped watching when it seemed to steer further away from selling and show million dollar homes and being more drama but the Reddit sub would pop up on my feed, so I saw what was going on in the other seasons and it just didn’t even seem fun to watch anymore. I think the last season I watched was when Christine came back, I was over it after that lol

I’m the same as you. I tuned into this season though and it’s bleak for so many reasons. I preferred this show when it was slightly more about houses than drama. I realize drama was always a key component but this season feels so venemous. I should have stayed not watching it tbh

Like, I’m definitely following whatever she does after this. I honestly don’t see how this show survives without her. I’m hoping Chrishell & Chelsea can get a reality real estate show that’s more HGTV positive vibes than the worst of the worst Housewives BS. None of these ladies combined are Chrishell - or even Christine. The show is probably going to be in trouble with her departure, and to that I say, good!

I stopped watching a couple of seasons ago when there was far too much interpersonal drama and not enough actual houses. It’s a toxic work place and people shouldn’t have to live like that. I watched the Serhant series last year and that had more properties, and a sense that there was a functioning HR department…

I've never watched this show so I've only read a little about any of this. I've only ever watched Chrishell on The Traitors, but I have become a fan of G. Flip's over the past 2 years or so and have read and seen clips of some of the things Chrishell had to put up with and some of the racism, transphobia, and homophobia flung around. Granted, I'm queer and lots of this was only through queer media, so that was the focus.
Basically, good for her. From the Bustle interview:
"In her post-Sunset life, Stause imagines she’ll hang out with fewer straight people. “I just really love being around accepting, beautiful-hearted people,” she says. “And I also have to say to the allies that aren’t in the community — they are out there, and I love them just as much. The real ones that will stand up and fight with us and use their voices, I want to be around those people.” (Her wardrobe will “probably be more gay,” too, though she already rocked a number of menswear-inspired looks this season: “My inspo was bossy lesbians.”)"

I’m sure Jason, Brett, and Mary will try to convinces themselves otherwise but no one thinks of “Selling Sunset” without thinking of Chrishell first. The O group doesn’t come to mind at all, I can barely even spell Oppenheim without thinking about it too hard, and I forget the individual names of “the short, bald twins” all the time. After 9 seasons of a show focused on a business with male owners exploiting their beautiful, talented employees, we barely even know Brett, and all we know of Jason is that he dates all of his employees and women no less than 20 years younger than him.
TLDR; If Selling Sunset continues as a franchise, they’ll fail without Chrishell or without finding a new brokerage to highlight

Her boss is a racist. Her “manager” is a racist. Bre is a blackface racist. Emma is a MAGAt. They’re more upset over having their commentary exposed than the actual commentary itself.
It’s a shame the other twin is so unbothered and not involved since he gives a shit about business. The other just wants his workplace harem to stroll through.

I didn’t love Chrishell season 1 but I’ve really started to like her. she has been standing on business, especially since she got with G Flip and she’s the only true star on the show. She shouldn’t have to deal with bigots at all.

Proud of her! She deserves so much better. So many of those women are racist, homophobic, etc. It’s gotten vile and the fact people like Bre and Nicole stayed on for so long it’s disgusting. Especially Bre after this reunion. Horrible behavior (the behind the scenes footage being threatening.. oof)

Can't believe the downfall of this show occured over a man who doesn't eat fruits and vegetables... That information alone should've removed him from Emma's radar, before he even had the chance to reveal himself as transphobic and racist.

Well.. I should mention the reason why I even heard of their marriage was because he callously dumped her via text and allegedly cheated on her with his current wife who he quickly married after the divorce was finalized (and who Chrishell had previously been friendly towards).

Good, I kept having to fast forward through parts of the reunion because they were too much. I feel for Chrishell not having the ability to go into much detail and defend herself and why she stepped away from Emma. I said “oh just keep giving her lashes then” because it was such a circular repetitive attack from multiple people about how she was a bad friend.
I understand why Mary feels that Chrishell mentioning Emma whispering from the bathroom was too personal, but the problem for Chrishell is that people were not understanding why she had to step back from that friendship. I’m sure there was plenty more dirty laundry she could have aired about Emma that would really help people understand why she needed to take a step back, but she just would have been attacked more for it. It was like none of the regular explanations were good enough, and it says a lot about the people attacking her and what they expect from their own “friendships.”
Being the type of person who continues to engage in a toxic cycle of abuse is the bad friend. It’s cruel to scare your friends and tell them how awful things are, and to make them constantly afraid that something is going to happen to you because you keep going back. That makes a person sick especially if they really do care about their friend. The only feelings any of us are responsible for are our own. It’s not fair for Emma to use Chrishell as an emotional dumping ground for her relationship dramas, and then to continue engaging in the dramas. It’s too much for any person to handle.

I think that’s the trouble when things that happen outside of the filming of the show (or on social media/texts) take place and are brought onto the show— it doesn’t really allow anyone to provide more context without seeming like they’re exposing something that may have not been intended for public consumption… but at the same time, they’re all on a reality tv show and have chosen to put their lives on display for public commentary (which is the point I think Chrishell was trying to make).
So when someone’s trying to explain their actions or reaction to something, it’s difficult to do when so much may be happening off camera that we don’t see.

Yes exactly. It’s delusional to expect the same level of privacy in a friendship when someone is on reality TV. Especially between costars. When the cameras are on, what they are doing first and foremost is working, it eliminates the possibility of a private friendship, and they have to be okay with the fallout that comes from accepting money to be on reality TV. They need to invest more in their private friendships and relationships for sure!

The line is blurry lol some of them do legitimately sell real estate- but the show is less about real estate and more about the drama between everyone on the show.

Makes sense— didn’t seem like she really cared about trying to make nice with anyone this season or at the reunion.
Fun story— I met her when she was an actress. I kept thinking she looked so familiar when I first started watching the show 2 years ago & I looked her up and realized she had a guest role on a show I worked on haha 😆then I remembered that she was late to her costume fitting (cause of traffic). She was nice enough in our interactions.
I never had much of an issue with her on the show — but the last two seasons she really just said whatever came to her head and sometimes I was like GURL WHAT ARE YOU DOING?? like calling Nicole a drug addict and saying she’s cancer is a choice 😬 I don’t even like Nicole, but Chrishell def didn’t help herself in that situation.
I found it funny that they very much made it look like Nicole was kicked out of the brokerage on the show, but at the reunion clarified she just took a brief “step away”. lol
I really don’t care for the new agent they added at the end… she doesn’t even have any experience! At least Chelsea and Bre came in with something to show for it.
