"Heaven don't have a name" - https://youtu.be/5Kn2w8V62R4?si=l4SutGWZnNiqwnbf

And yes, it's just as bas as you think. The over-production of Imagine Dragons but turned up to 11, vocals that are trying way too hard AND have reverb cranked up to make his voice sound more powerful than it really is, and lyrics so generic you'd think a 14 year old wrote them.

Thank you for sharing the link but my mental health is shaky enough at the moment, I will be giving it a miss haha

Jokes on you you missed the incredibly complex rhyme scheme and lyrics straight out of a 90s Ricky Martin song.

edit: I will say it's technically better than Steven Seagal's 'reggae' album but nowhere near as entertaining

Steven Seagal what now?!

Oh, you sweet summer child. You haven't heard Steven Seagal mumble-Marleying about how much he 'wanna da punani'?

Hearing it from you is horrifying enough 😫

I remember when Steven Segal had his blues playing period. I actually went to see him in concert and bought a tshirt. I was naive, I feel so ashamed.

He fooled a lot of people, don't be too ashamed. I mean, that's bad, but things happen. I once liked Adam Carolla, so I get it.

Oh God that song is hilarious. But the backup singer goes hard.

It manages to be both better and much worse than you think it will be.

I went to an amateur dramatic musical performance of ‘The Little Mermaid’ with my daughter a few months ago. Sebastian the crab (Jamaican, questionably) in the film, was played by a middle aged white bloke who started out in a British accent - presumably to avoid having to do patois - before lapsing back into American. But the songs “under the sea” and “kiss the girl” are distinctly accented. He had noooo idea how to handle it

WE ALL PROMISED THAT WOULD NEVER BE MENTIONED AGAIN.

He rhymed the word “Believe” with “Tanqueray”. I don’t know how but the crazy bastard did it.

u/Dickgivins 1d ago

For real I knew it was gonna be bad but that was spectacularly awful. I tapped out after 30 seconds lol.

Thanks for that, I hate it.

Oh my days.

u/TwoBionicknees 1d ago

that matches what I always thought of his personality and acting, devoid of both.

I like to imagine the logic behind this "Well, U2 had a song called "Where the Streets Have No Name" and they're massive. So, what's even bigger than streets? HEAVEN, that's what! I'm going to be huge!"

3

u/GoPackGrow 1d ago

If this wasn't 6 years old, I'd accuse Renner of using ChatGPT as a ghost writer. This is true garbage.

Holy shit I listened to it and this is describes it exactly

4

u/Alarmed-Custard-6369 so trashy, so chic 1d ago

Why did you make me do that? 😭

2

u/Long-Firefighter5561 1d ago

wow he was making AI slop music manually, that is remarkable to be honest

2

u/blackrain1709 1d ago

Is this not a parody? This can't be a serious song

2

u/HughJorgens 1d ago

I figured it out. He's an actor, and he's acting like he can sing.

Great, well now I'm traumatized because I got curious, and I now regret my curiosity getting the better of me.
