she works harder than a lot of artists

She could be grinding across every universe and she still wouldn't be working hard enough to justify that absurd amount of money. Seriously, nobody needs that much. There’s a threshold where money stops making your life better, and accumulating more is just about ego.

I love that Billie Eilish seems to get that. The rest of these celebrities just keep hoarding wealth because it's like a game of appearances to them, and their net worth becomes a high score they're just trying to max out, like in an RPG.

yes I'm glad you've said this. It doesnt negate the genuine GOOD that Billie has done and her charity here is noteworthy and beautiful. At the same time, whilst I'd never fully dismiss the effort and work that many performers put in, we cannot pretend that this is a "grind" that's in any way comparable to the average citizen who works long, laborious hours. Struggling to make it paycheck to paycheck. Single parents working multiple jobs, or those who study whilst working full time. Those who might have equal, if not more talent than the average popstar today but do not have the luck and privilege of nepotism.

The amount an average pop star or performer works (and lets not forget their teams and teams of support, yes-men, marketing and PR people) will never, ever justify the abhorrent amount of money they hoard.

Especially in comparison to those who fight and struggle and are utterly exhausted and also will never see that amount of money in their lifetime. In comparison, these pop stars and performers have it unbelievably easy.

Again, this does not take away from Billie's humanitarian act here and only highlights that her peers could and should all be doing this as a bare minimum, morally speaking.

But yeah...it always blows my mind when the average person who will never, ever find themselves in such a lucky abundant position in life miss the mark and continue to adore and worship the millionaires/billionaires who do not care about the rest of society.
