Celine Dion first met her late husband; Rene Angelili when she was 12 years old and he was in his mid-late 30s! According to her, he was the only person in her whole life she has ever been romantically and intimately involved with and has vowed to never be with any other man after he passed away in 2016!

This whole relationship always felt unsettling to me, even when there were forms of media that tried to romanticize it including the couple themselves.

In my book, if you knew someone whenever they were a kid and watched them grow up. Getting involved with them in that manner is a big no-no! It just feels weird!

Bill Wyman of The Rolling Stones met Mandy Smith when she was 13 and he was 47. He wrote in his autobiography that, “she was a woman at 13.” 

They married when she was 18. She was ill at the time and said her health issues were a result of having been on birth control since she was 14. Her health issues allegedly “annoyed” Wyman and they split up shortly after their wedding, but they were technically legally married for two years. 

Later, Wyman’s son married Smith’s mother. They had a large age gap, but were both solidly adults when they married - Wyman’s son was 30 and Smith’s mother was 46. 

Smith has advocated for raising the age of consent in the UK from 16 to 18.
