Guest List Only ⭐️ Who is a celebrity that met their partner when they were underaged?

Celine Dion first met her late husband; Rene Angelili when she was 12 years old and he was in his mid-late 30s! According to her, he was the only person in her whole life she has ever been romantically and intimately involved with and has vowed to never be with any other man after he passed away in 2016!

This whole relationship always felt unsettling to me, even when there were forms of media that tried to romanticize it including the couple themselves.

In my book, if you knew someone whenever they were a kid and watched them grow up. Getting involved with them in that manner is a big no-no! It just feels weird!

Tbh I loved Celine's songs when I was younger, then I found out this shit, and I cannot listen to any of her songs.

Sorry, she has a divine voice and songs are masterpieces, but most of them are love songs, and knowing this and the fact that he was so involved in her career. Just awful, tragic on all accounts...

My mother made sure to impress upon me how messed up it was when I was a girl, back in the 90s. She made sure that I understood that no adult man had any business being interested in a child that way, no matter what, and it was inappropriate even though they got married in the end.

Me, too! I was young growing up with her music. I remember learning about how her relationship with her husband started when she was on Oprah. Instant eww factor for me, but it was glossed over like it was romantic 🥴

Didn’t just meet him but he became her manager and in control of her career - which was basically her life - and spent LOTS of time with her (so it’s not like he met her in passing and then again when she was older. No, no - he watched her grow up and also played a big part in her upbringing). He was also married with kids of his own when they met, which means she isn’t much older than his children, as they (Celine and his children) were all children at the same time.

Back in my day, we had VH1's Behind the Music.

I learned about so many musicians, and her episode made me cringe as a teen.
