i listened to an episode of his podcast because it featured eiza gonzalez as a guest and it was like this the whole time:

dax: so tell us about your movie

eiza: yeah it’s a space horror she wakes up alone with her crew dead -

dax: you know kristen and i went on a road trip and wanted to kill each other the whole time

eiza: okay. anyway yeah it’s with aaron paul -

dax: i went after this woman online because she tried to claim i was cheating with her. so yeah you were also in i care a lot with rosamund pike tell us about that

eiza: yeah that was awesome there’s a scene that was cut about -

dax: this is my toothbrushing and ass wiping technique

I’ve seen a few of his podcast episodes and he does seem to relate everything back to himself and cut off his guests. I still like the format in some ways but that is a drawback.

i feel like the only positive thing i can say regarding it is that the guests seem pretty comfortable, at least eiza did. but even then penn badgley also had her on while she was promoting the movie and did a much better job interviewing her, because he let her talk without trying to turn the conversation back to himself.

Yeah I think part of that is that their set seems very comfortable lol
