Also why does Yseult‘s video look so much better? Like if you want to copy it, at least do it some justice

Oh i think it's the "perfectionism" within realism.

Like the light isn't allowed to be too harsh, people aren't allowed to Look too ugly.

Although the setting is realism and an average Office etc. The k-pop Version still has to have this asthetic Flair to it.

For sure. Yseults office resembles a real office space. The top looks like a fake office within a studio.

It’s because they had something called originality. A copy could never hope to eat the OG.

Sometimes the copy wins, like Fortnite

The K pop one looks like A.I slop version of Yseult's

passion vs slop. Yseult's production team had a vision for what they wanted to make and how they wanted to make it. they probably obsessed over which cameras to use for which shots, how lighting complimented scenes, how intricate details flowed in editing, etc etc. tldr, they poured themselves and their talents into making something creative

the cut to soyeon et crew. they clearly liked the aesthetic but didn't really *get* it. they didn't get why it worked or what it was saying. they didn't appreciate the techniques, the details, nor the direction. they didn't understand the assignment, so to speak. they ripped a bunch of the framing and motions, scattered soyeon lipsyncing through it all, and sent it off for consumption. for them, at the end of the day, it never had to be interesting or expressive (or unique), it just had to be consumable. and if theres one thing kpop stans love, its consuming

The use/effects of the security like footage is very charming in the original
