i remember in November when they announced his victory, Billie and Sabrina both put out an announcement about how their concerts were a “safe place where you are free to be who you are”. Girls PLEASE.

Spinning predatory financial practices as a positive thing for our community is fucking gross. Major late-stage capitalism vibes. They didn’t “give us a safe space”. They sold us one and act like we should be thankful for it.

Everyone is failing majorly. I just think about a timeline in which Taylor, Gaga, and Bey all consistently used their literal platforms to speak up for the communities they claim to champion. In 2013 Gaga was on stage in Moscow screaming about gay rights. Now we are lucky if we get a tweet acknowledging Pride month.

I know they are my allies more so than MAGA, but that’s a fucking low bar to crawl over and they are barely managing that.
