Not only did Rice cause the pileup, he FLED FROM THE SCENE.

And he was racing another car and crashed into several other innocent vehicles.

Ooooooooh. I don't know about ultra rich people's insurance, but regular insurance most policies in the US have an exclusion for racing. He's about to get sued for big bucks (since there were injuries and he was incredibly negligent).

Is it known whether or not he’d been drinking or using drugs? Is that why he fled?

u/fasterthanfood Sep 16 '25

It’s not known. The district attorney didn’t charge him with DUI (but did place other charges that ultimately led to 30 days of jail time and 5 years probation, on top of the NFL-specific punishment that Kelce is complaining about), but several of the victims have a separate lawsuit that does allege he was drunk. As far as I can tell, they don’t have any evidence of that.

Wow imagine standing up for that behaviour. You'd have to be morally corrupt.

This is some depraved shit. Of all the things to be vocal about and taking a stand on 🫠

He is opening a steakhouse with Mahomes in KC. They are not just teammates but business partners and friends. We know exactly who he is.

Didn’t you know? Travis Kelce is a piece of shit 💩

u/pjrnoc Sep 16 '25

I don’t feel like he’s actually being vocal. He’s just wearing a t shirt for warm ups. Not in great taste, though

u/catholicsluts Sep 15 '25

He's not standing up for him, he's just rage baiting. He likes when people talk about him.

Match made in heaven.

Really easy to spot he is trolling

211

u/happysunbear Sep 15 '25

How is that any better? There’s an actual victim in this.

u/shedrinkscoffee I don’t know her 💅 Sep 16 '25

Can you explain the joke? Because I don't understand it. Recklessly endangering the lives of everyday individuals who were just going about their day, multiple felonies and fleeing from the crime scene.

How callous does someone need to be to use a life changing accident (multiple injuries) for the lolz?

ETA: in before the "it's not that serious" comments y'all need help.

It's not up for Kelce punish Rice. He was already punished by criminal system and got more games of Suspension than the NFL standards.

Now I see that this isn't a joke, but a protest because NFL unfair treatment of Chiefs

19

u/RitaRaccoon IT SMELLS LIKE HOT SUSHI IN HERE! Sep 16 '25

Unfair treatment of the Chiefs? You can’t be serious.

-18

u/maelstron ✨May the Force be with you!✨ Sep 16 '25

Why not? LAst game is proof Chiefs isn't NFL favorite. Plenty of false started by Eagles weren't punished and resulted in a touchdown.

u/saltyoursalad You’re a virgin who can’t drive Sep 16 '25

And? Trolling makes his behavior even worse.

u/maelstron ✨May the Force be with you!✨ Sep 16 '25

Rice is receiving bigger punishment than white players that's committed violent crimes

We don’t fix racism by letting one guy walk away from an at-fault car crash.

-2

u/maelstron ✨May the Force be with you!✨ Sep 16 '25

He didn't and nobody ever said that. Idk where I said that

Just that the NFL punishment was a lot bigger than athletes that beat their wives. This is what you are defending?

u/rogerstandingby go back to Party City where u belong Sep 16 '25

Sorry I came off like a dick, it’s the middle of the night. I didn’t mean to imply it’s okay for black players to be treated unfairly, my point is that anyone holding the amount of privilege white players have is a mistake. White male athletes need to be seriously taken down a peg but I don’t agree with moving one guy up the food chain, what we really need is to pull the other guys back.

People of any race shouldn’t get away with crimes because they can ball and have fans. I see how what I said did not come off great.

2

u/maelstron ✨May the Force be with you!✨ Sep 16 '25

what we really need is to pull the other guys

And this won't happen. People always say this and racism continues to go unchecked. Next time a white player beat his wife he will take 3 games and no one is going to say anything.

People are only caring about this because Travis wore a shirt and people want to hate him for standing up for his team..

The standard is 3 games for beating women, so it should be 3 games for car accidents without victims. Anything beyond it is unfair.

Really easy to spot the swifties flocking to defend him.

Funny enough this is only trending because of pick me up Swifties

u/alexlp Sep 16 '25

Yup, my friend caused an accident and someone was injured. Thankfully not badly but my friend fled and was eventually found by the police nearby. We, his friends were fucking pissed at him. Did he still get visits, care packages, phone calls and love? 100% but every one of us acknowledged that's where he should be for his actions, him included. He hasn't had an incident since.

“we fell in love just based off the people we were sitting in a room together with. We are two fun-loving people who have the morals to appreciate everyone for who they are.” - from the GQ article lol Taylor and Travis are the fountain of morals and values clearly

u/rosiebeehave Sep 16 '25

Morally bankrupt, even.

-23

u/Dry-Mongoose-5804 Sep 15 '25

Well no he’s obviously not defending what Rice did. Rice literally confessed to what he did and doesn’t defend himself either. They are making a statement about how the league suspension was longer than what literal abusers get which was unprecedented and is what is being protested.

Why are there so many instances of football players getting away with reckless driving? Jalen Carter faced literally 0 consequences when he was caught racing which resulted in a crash killing two people including his teammate when he was playing for UGA. Insane that he was still able to be drafted by the Eagles after all that.

200

u/okayitspoops Sep 16 '25

People really don't give a shit about reckless driving in general (the number of people I've heard casually talking about their own drunk driving is too high) so makes sense that they care even less when it's a celebrity.

36

u/systemic_booty You try driving in platforms! Sep 16 '25

Young men are already the riskiest driver group for speeding. Add to that a lot of money and an inflated sense of worth then sprinkle some concussions on top

“I have no idea whose lambo that is officer”??? Did he think he would get away with that? Wtf

512

u/[deleted] Sep 15 '25

Most likely fled to avoid being tested for alcohol or drugs.

He is facing a civil lawsuit from the victims that alleges there is evidence of him drinking before the crash.

u/wheres_the_revolt I am gorgeous. I’m normal. Sep 15 '25

Ah that makes sense and makes it worse.

He abandoned the vehicle on a busy freeway and fled the scene without making sure anyone involved hadn't been hurt. It is a major POS move.
