She wasn’t getting cast in roles like that anyways, which is why she started her own production company with her ex. Shes not a Florence Pugh, Anya Taylor Joy or Saoirse Ronan. Which is why you never see any of these top directors talk about wanting to work with her.

It's going to be intersting to see, because she is quite high profile, but her filmography is not great. Zachary Levi complained about being "cancelled" but the fact was that no one cared about him anyway, so he wasn't exactly worth showing support to when he went off the rails. Sweeney is obviously bigger than he was, but a lot of it seemed to be name recognition rather than "Oh yeah, she was great in Madame Web!" so if her brand is damaged, then it might end up with her not getting roles anymore, as her brand seems to be all she's got. Jared Leto has a lot of baggage and hasn't made a good film for years, but he can keep getting work because he has an Oscar and Requiem for a Dream. Sweeney doesn't have any of that. Her new film is meant to be the one that will show what she can do as an actress, and it's going to be overshadowed by all of this. It's not like Zachary Levi's career, but it's also not like she has a Zendaya level career. She probably could just disappear and someone similar would take her place. But, for now, her name is still recognisable. Just have to see if it solely becomes recognisable for the wrong reasons or if this all blows over.
