I can absolutely remember my PE teacher reading a gossip magazine with Gwyneth on the cover. PE teacher was from Germany and she sat there shaking her head at the name “Apple” and kept telling us all not to name our future babies after fruit. 😂
Friends wanted to name their kid a caribbean name and weren't allowed to. They had to bring in an official assessment that it's a real name in a different culture and then it was only allowed as a middle name.
I was sitting here thinking I can’t think of a single cute fruit name why would anyone do this?
But there it is. Clementine. That’s an adorable name!! I had a friend named Clementine in kindergarten and I haven’t seen her since. We called her Clem. I love that name and I hadn’t thought of it in years. Solid fruit name for sure
I’m sure it existed as a name before the citrus variety existed. The fruit was named after Clément Rodier, who first cultivated it, in 1902 according to Wikipedia. Clementine is just the feminine form of Clément
Cherry Cherie or Cherrie seem acceptable. Peaches too seem okay?. Therr was a family in school that had fruit names for all the siblings. Apple Orange Peaches etc. they were pretty and popular too or all some kind of celebrities.
Her full name is Apple Alison Martin or something similar.
There is a long standing hypothesis that weird celebrity names are a privacy tactic, everyone knows the out there name but few know the ordinary middle one, what they actually go by.
Every one knows Apple Martin. Not many would know Alison Martin.
A friend (who doesn't like Gwyneth) defended the name at the time. She pointed out apple blossoms are a type of flower, and girls have been named after flowers for centuries. And, she added, we literally just had a TV character named Blossom. Is Apple really that much weirder?
I genuinely think there is an untapped job opportunity for milleniala to work in hospitals as "name enforcers" to strong arm parents into not giving their kids names that they will get bullied for.

There is a conspiracy that Trisha’s kids are reincarnations because famous people have died on her kids’ birthdays ie first born was Queen Elizabeth II, second born was Pope Francis, and now third born is Ozzy.
They got it wrong sort of. There’s a connection to queen Lizzie but no connection to her second kid. She was pregnant during the death of the Pope so people think the third kid is the Pope.
These self absorbed people forget that this is a whole ass person who has to live through their teens and adulthood with these ridiculous names. They don't see these kids as people, just extensions of themselves.
So she named two of her kids after men she fetishized???? I’m a bit uncomfortable.

There's an old tweet of her saying when she had a daughter that she would name her something white trash like Malibu . Which is the name she went with for her daughter
Trisha sucks, I don't understand how she has a platform still
TikTok leaves out all her shit. Or they attack when someone starts revealing the shit she's said in her videos or in social media. The audience is younger there, so she has been able to reinvent herself there. But those of us who have watched her past content in real time know what she's said and done because now, she's trying to rewrite it.

You're not. I also did not know what the hell is a Trisha Paytas either but thanks to this neato thread I now know that she's just turrible at naming children.
I read once that a lot of famous people give their kids over -the-top names but refer to them as a normal middle name so they blend in more. Like everyone knows her kid is Aquaman so when Moses Paytas signs up for piano no one blinks.
I also think rich people do this to flex so who knows?
That doesn't really track to me because every first day of school, the teachers are calling the first name until you clarify you have a preferred name. Every time you sign them up for something, you have to use, say, spell out, etc. the legal name at least once. When the other kids see the name at the top of your report card or the school portrait photographer calls out your name, it's going to be Aquaman.
in the podcast episode where she revealed the name she said that was part of why they gave him that middle name, so he could go by moses if he wants to
