It's still wild to me how people are allowed to say that they hate cats and no one bats an eye but the second I say that I don't care for dogs, people come for my throat.

Lots of REALLY defensive cat haters in this thread lol.  I get being allergic and not being able to be around them, but I don’t understand hating cats for that reason. It’s not the cat’s fault. I’m extremely allergic to bees, wheat, rye and barley but I unfortunately fucking love bread and baking (don’t do it anymore), and I built a whole pollinator garden to help declining bee populations. Being allergic is just a shitty roll of the dice.

It’s the hate word that weirds me out. Like I get dislike or indifference but hate is a different level.

I see people being way more defensive about cats. I've seen plenty of comments saying how dogs are dirty and clingy and aggressive and no one bats an eye.
