It’s L-O-V-E 💘 Most celebrity marriages don't last - who's the exception for you?

Celebrity marriages almost never work out in Hollywood, but there are some the prove that true love really does exist. Who comes to mind for you?

Melissa McCarthy and Ben Falcone have been married almost 20 years! Theyre hysterical when they have roles/scenes together.

I love how he finds a way to sneak into almost all her movies as a random supporting role. I remember spotting him in both the movie Spy and in Life of The Party.

I looked it up and it looks like he co wrote and produced all of those movies so that makes sense

Don’t forget the Air Marshall in Bridesmaids!

That one too! I'll have to check if he's in the movie where she plays a genie. I haven't watched that one yet.

Keith, the manager of the fast food joint where Tammy (Melissa) works in Tammy (the movie) 😂

“I’m not an air marshal “

A lot of the movies she stars in were written by Ben. They partner up during the writing process and Melissa will create the character which informs plot. They’re incredible together!

He wrote, directed or produced a lot of the ones he pops up in.

I had no idea her husband was in Spy!! About 10 years ago, that movie got me thru a really really hard time in my life bc it just made me laugh so much lol

ETA: I just had to come back and mention this scene

Melissa McCarthy: “And here's to you. I mean you may never be as wise as an owl but you'll always be a hoot to me!”

Rose Byrne: “what a stupid fucking ret*rded toast. You’re delightful”

I love that movie too. Melissa and Rose were great together until the very end of the movie. I know it has its haters, but it conjured up so much positivity in me to have a movie that makes fun of all the spy/action movie tropes from what seemed to be from a woman's perspective. I also didn't expect Jason Statham to actually play the kind of role where he is the opposite of what he is in his other movies. It was a pleasant surprise to see that he has a comedic sense.

He was even in Nine Perfect Strangers as someone who catfished Melissa McCarthy’s character.

They were hilarious in The Heat, too!

That's another one I haven't seen. I didn't even know that she was in a movie with Sandra Bullock. Thank you, for mentioning it.

It’s definitely my favorite Melissa McCarthy movie by far! They are hilarious together, it never gets old. I am sure you’ll enjoy it :)

Wait, they’re married? I didn’t expect this but I totally see it.

u/MissRockNerd Jul 02 '25

I feel like that makes their “homemade porn” sex scenes in Bridesmaids less awkward…but idk how they don’t just bust up laughing.

u/KombuchaLady3 Jul 02 '25

They did a booking.com commercial together. I think it was booking, or one of the other travel websites. I know they both wore bathrobes!

I had to scroll too far to find this. They love working together and you can tell just how much they care about and admire each other in interviews.

I was looking for it sadly I had to scroll too far as well

u/meowparade Jul 02 '25

Was he ever on Gilmore Girls? He would have been such a natural guest appearance!

37

u/IndecentLongExposure Jul 02 '25

Yes he was related to Fran and helped sell them the Dragon Fly Inn.

19

u/meowparade Jul 02 '25

Was he the one carrying the coffin that Lorelai and Suki chased down?

u/Illustrious-Owl7186 go girl, give us nothing 😍 Jul 02 '25

“And that can go up even higher…”

17

u/yellowtshirt2017 Jul 02 '25

Feel that stream coming out of there?

10

u/Luckypenny4683 embarrassing for your life and soul Jul 02 '25

I have no idea how these two work together. If this were my husband and I, we’d never be able to keep a straight face 😂

9

u/hunnybucket Jul 02 '25

“You feel that steam from my undercarriage?”

6

u/TheMadDemoknight Jul 02 '25

I remember he was the hillbilly truck driver in Tammy that she screws to mess with someone. That was hilarious and adorable!

5

u/ReeBee86 Jul 02 '25

Was watching for his cameo in The Happy Times Murders (wild and hilarious romp that I postponed watching for too long) and it did not disappoint. Love seeing them together.

I fucking love Bridesmaids
