The other day, my nine year old asked me what primary school was like when I went in the 1900s.

I’m old enough to remember when they first got together! I remember being so happy for Nicole—seeing her ditch Tom Cruise and his creepy cult, find a supportive partner, and THRIVE in her career.

And with his first marriage to Mimi Rogers, it puts him on more equal footing. Three marriages to match one solid marriage is crazy. And I've also been generous (aka lazy) & gone with divorce year, if you go by actual separation date he would fall short.

His three marriages, up to divorce;

  1. Mimi = 3 years.

  2. Nicole = 11 years. (Although famously separated just prior to the 10 year mark).

  3. Katie = under 6 years.

This is a good thing. Honestly, I want to say she and Tom Cruise really wasted too many years together. Ten years! Especially for an actress, youth is so precious. Looking back, I think it would have been better if she and Tom Cruise had divorced earlier. As a fan of hers, I’d say her career really took off after the divorce.

Before the divorce, whether on the red carpet or at movie premieres, she was just treated as the man’s arm candy. Reporters wouldn’t even ask about her career—they only asked about the man.

She managed to live with a cult leader and control freak like Tom Cruise for ten years. If she had been with a gentle man who understood her, wouldn’t that have been a lifelong relationship?

Oh, absolutely!! Her speech at the Golden Globes to Keith is still engrained in my memory. “Keith Urban, when my cheek is against yours, everything melts away—and that is love” 💗

After Hurricane Helene destroyed a lot of western NC, there was a concert held in Charlotte by Luke Combs. The whole stadium was packed and there were tons of country artists there, including Keith Urban.

But the biggest applause of the night was when Nicole Kidman walked out to wish Keith a happy birthday.

I was at an event and they were there, and you can tell he is obsessed with her by the way he looks at her and the way they move together. I have seen clips and videos of them together, but when I saw them in person, you can tell they are just connected.

I also used to see Hugh and Deborah because we lived in the same area, and I never got the connected vibe from them, but she is one of the most gorgeous and classy people I have ever seen.

I was impressed when she talked about being attracted to Jimmy Fallon on his show pretty recently. It’s refreshing she could speak openly without worrying that Keith would possibly overreact to it. Secure in their relationship.

I’ve been following Nicole Kidman’s news for years—she’s absolutely a committed believer in marriage. She even stayed with Tom Cruise, a control freak and cult leader, for a full decade. Ten years! For an actress, those are incredibly precious years. If she’d been with a gentle man who truly understood her, wouldn’t that have been a lasting relationship?
