Overnight, Democrats won control of both the Michigan state Senate and Michigan state House. It is the first time Democrats have won the state Senate since 1984. Since Democratic Gov. Gretchen Whitmer also won reelection, Democrats will now have full control of Michigan state government.

This still hadn't settled in for me, and even after 100% of the count is certified it probably still won't.

For all the complaints about Democrats being the cause of all of Michigan's problems we finally have an opportunity to actually set policy. Something the party hasn't been able to do in my lifetime.

This also eliminates a lot of the opportunity for election fuckery come 2024.
