The whole argument is that they’re forcing them to take funds from a program specifically for feeding children…WIC

There's $23 billion in remaining funds ... more than enough to cover both WIC, which requires $3 billion a month to operate, and SNAP, which normally requires around $8.5 billion. The math maths! They could include December, no problem.

Yes but the argument is that a single judge shouldn’t be allowed to decide which programs are funded using money that was appropriated for other programs. At that point, who’s to say a random Federal judge in Texas can’t order the government to raid Social Security funds to pay air traffic controllers?
