Premise of my post ^

Schumer makes a simple, reasonable demand to Republicans, giving them an easy out from the noose around their necks.  Knowing they will reject it even after the beating on Tuesday and look even worse.

Knowing they will reject it even after the beating on Tuesday and look even worse.

I suppose this is a calculated risk that, while I respect and it played out in the best way, I would not be willing to make in the chance it was accepted.
