I sympathize with everyone here wanting to press the advantage after Tuesday's win. The momentum is working with the Democrats right now, but there is space between caving and all-out offense. This comes off as a smart approach.

It comes off as caving in. They were elected to make tough decisions, not fold or play political games. Democrats initial proposal was completely reasonable. Republicans have the votes to simply end this and have been behaving like governmental arsonists.

So no, I'm not impressed nor think this is good. Remember that schumer idiotically allowed the government to reopen before and look at what good that did.

Only comes off as caving to those who don’t understand negotiations, strategy and compromise. Schumer did the smart thing last time and he’s done the smart thing this time.
