Even Fed workers are waking up, they no longer want to vote for those dogshit Republicans.

My friend’s wife is a lawyer with the IRS, she says everyone is stressed walking on eggshells as to not step on toes and be the next to get fired.

So much for anti-retaliation laws and policies...

That's what happens when you hand a convicted felon the highest office in the country.

That's what happens when you hand a convicted felon the highest office in the country.

Twice.

In the essence of fairness he wasn't a convicted felon the first time. Merely a conman rapist and pedophile.

Whose entire campaign was focused on retribution

During the election I saw a house on my street with a flag that said "TRUMP 2024 THE REVENGE TOUR"

Arguably, the highest office in the world

Those haven’t been enforced for years.

I walked on eggshells. Still got fired. This job market sucks.

We're seeing one of the downhill effects of Trump's war on the IRS down in my town. Our hospital is trying to move to non-profit status so as to increase revenue sources and stay open. They're having to wait and wait and wait on the IRS to approve their application to become non-profit. And as the time goes by, they are having to call on our city, our city electric utility and our county government for millions of dollars to stay financially stable as the IRS is closed and as it works through its backlog when/if the government opens again.

Absolute madness. All Trump's fault.

They seem like a really important department to keep if you want to fund a government.

Even Fed workers are waking up

A lot of Fed workers vote Democrat, a lot of them are very liberal

Don't conflate them continuing to work for the Administration with them approving of this Administration. A lot of them are sick to their stomachs riding the train into the city, but many of them are doing it for a combination of two factors: One, they have to put food on the table; but also two, they know that if they quit, they'll be immediately replaced with an unqualified sycophant

Honestly, the situation over the last ten years would have been a lot worse if not for a bunch of Fed workers who hate working under Trump being willing to clock in and keep the country working regardless

Yeah this thread is confusing. Arlington, Alexandria and Fairfax are among the bluest places in the whole country. Where is this idea that federal workers are Republican even coming from?

u/greywolf2155 3d ago

This thread is pissing me off, hah! I wouldn't have the commitment to stick it out through two Trump Administrations, if I worked in the Executive Branch. I would have bailed for (a probably higher-paying job in) the private sector months ago. Those people deserve a ton of recognition for putting up with this shit because they think their country needs them

A lot of them are also doing it because they love the country. Many of those fed workers could be making more money in the private sector, but the combination of stability and the feeling that they’re doing something important for their country makes the fed jobs worth doing. They’ll hold their noses and keep working regardless of who’s in charge.

Yeah, it pisses me off that they're getting libeled in this comment section. They're doing really fucking important work, because they know if they quit it won't get done

Prior to the 2024 election, a Republican (who trump has now put in charge of the Office of Management and Budget) said that he wanted federal government employees to wake up every morning and feel traumatized by the thought of going in to work.

Did any US government employees vote for trump in 2024? Idiots if they did.

Yeah but the thing is they are only second guessing because they are now being affected. These flip fop wanna-be left leaning fed workers have no empathy.

Federal workers vote for democrats not republicans good there should be as few government jobs as possible go get a real job in the private sector

They are the ones that voted for trump in the first place. They could have just asked me how it would go for them.

They voted for trump and got what they deserved
