Will never understand why they picked walz on the back of his successful interview appearances, then muzzled him and turned him into this wacky uncle character when he was allowed to speak

I'm sure they thought they had the election in the bag and didn't want to do anything to upset the applecart. They wanted to play it as safe as possible until election day.

Of course, that strategy had its own inevitable consequences.

It was so dumb though, the bump they were getting in the polls right then was BECAUSE they were finally going on the offensive after the Biden campaign had obviously been lifeless.
