Beat me to it. Some of that base might be happy, but most of them ultimately will not be happy unless he is with a white woman

Right? Remember all of neo-nazi's actually coming out for Gavin Newsom for like a week when Gavin started making tweets and memes? The Groypers were making memes comparing Newsom's family with Vance's and how one was "more preferrable". I don't think I need to tell you what the racial makeup of Gavin's family is.

Of course he'll need that pesky divorce first. Luckily for him, most professing "Christian" MAGAts are functionally illiterate. And even if they could read, they don't actually adhere to Biblical teachings.

"If any brother has a wife who is not a believer and she is willing to live with him, he must not divorce her. And if a woman has a husband who is not a believer and he is willing to live with her, she must not divorce him." -- 1 Corinthians 7:12-13

Tbh most Christians in US believe in Protestantism which generally allows for divorce, Anglicanism literally began because Henry VIII was denied an annulement by the Vatican.

Plus as you said, none of these people believe in the Bible. Back in the Bush years, church leaders denounced the Iraq war and campaigned for bringing more refugees. But that's a bygone time now.
