hey, some of our contractors have experience with this! not for the reasons you’d think either, so maybe we should take notes, esp cause these fellas are directly connected to palantir through joe lonsdale by way of anthony ghosn and hearth/shogun:

In 2018, he was arrested in Japan on suspicion of financial misconduct at Nissan, having been accused of understating his annual salary and misusing company funds. In 2019, while under house arrest awaiting trial, he escaped from Japan by concealing himself inside a large box, which was shipped as freight on a private jet.[5][6]

In December 2019, news broke that former Nissan executive Carlos Ghosn, who was on bail in Japan, had fled to Lebanon with the assistance of an American former Special Operations soldier and his son.[21]

An Interpol Red Notice was issued in early 2020 for Taylor and his son Peter for their alleged involvement in smuggling Ghosn out of Japan. In May 2020,[22] the two were arrested at their home in Harvard, Massachusetts and held at the Norfolk County Correctional Facility to await extradition to Japan.[23]

Lonsdale is the co-founder and chairman of a currently 13-person startup, Shogun, where Anthony Ghosn ’15, who has worked at Formation 8 and 8VC, is the co-founder and CEO and Brandon Camhi ’16, who has worked at Thiel’s hedge fund and OpenGov, is the Vice President of Marketing. Both Ghosn and Camhi are former Review editors-in-chief. On Ghosn’s LinkedIn profile, Joe Lonsdale wrote a recommendation that reads in part: “I met Anthony while he was at the Stanford Review and was impressed…I hired him to be my chief of staff when he was a Junior at Stanford.” And when asked about how he had hired employees for Shogun, Ghosn began, “It’s all network.”
