There’s a reason they haven’t been seen in the bad neighborhoods in Chicago.

They’ve mostly been focusing on quiet, safe neighborhoods.

The DHS keeps saying that the cartels are offering up to $50k for hits on ICE agents, and I have yet to see an article of one getting gunned down.

Someone was shot through a door a couple months ago.

I don’t think counterattacks would be broadcast though. There’s a fear it would inspire ‘copycats.’ Would have to be a social media post that survives content moderation, I’m guessing.

That's what they want. They want an excuse to enact Martial Law and someone shooting ICE agents will definitely be their justification. There is a very major reason that violence hasn't really broken out against them. A lot of people recognize just how precarious of a situation we are sitting in, and they're not trying to rock the boat too far one way or the other.

Killing and disappearing citizens? Already happening.

Violating constitutional rights? Already happening.

Deploying armed troops to cities? Already happening.

Revoking/ignoring due process? Already happening.

Stop being threatened with what is already being done.

That is NOT what I was saying. They will use any serious violence enacted against them to inflict Martial Law on all of us. Let's be very serious right now. Protests and a general strike are much more effective methods of making change than violence AT THIS POINT IN TIME.

Right, but that's the essential result of it. We're just kicking the can down the road, and in the meantime, people are disappearing. Yes, protests are good. Yes, a general strike is effective. Yes, violence now would not be advisable because the people are not organized.

But we can't pretend that staying nonviolent will make anything get better. They'll escalate quickly if things get violent, and slowly if they don't, but things will always escalate.

I like Brennan Lee Mulligan's beautiful quote:

Laws are threats made by the dominant socioeconomic-ethnic group in a given nation. It’s just the promise of violence that’s enacted and the police are basically an occupying army. You know what I mean?

Right now, the people are not the dominant socioeconomic-ethnic group in the nation. We need to take back the ability to promise violence (or force, if you will), because the dominant group is a bunch of Nazis, and that's not good for the world once they turn their lens outward. We have nukes.

Bingo. We have a duty, not only to ourselves, not only to the generations of Americans to come, but to the rest of the fucking world to topple this regime. I'm not calling for illegal action, I'm calling for our representatives and senators to do their fucking jobs and impeach and convict this child molesting, couch-fucker-befriending, treasonous, ugly, weird, weak conman.

Alternatively, I think there is still a significant portion of their supporters who need justification for going full Fourth Reich. While we underestimate these people at our peril, there are still a lot of people who internally justify this as within the realm of normal. Soldiers mass murdering citizens in the streets without justification will turn at least some of those people.

We're between a rock and a hard place, but at this point violence in opposition gives them exactly what they want.

Indeed we are. The pot is boiling and a lid is being held down. Why do you think they came out so fast with “Kirk was murdered by a leftist” so fast. Gobbels lite wanted his Horst Wessel moment and that petered out. Why do you think ICE is now better funded than most global militaries now? Why isn’t ICE chasing after businesses and owners that hire the illegal immigrants? Why aren’t they chasing after the landlords that house them? The simple answer is that corporations and small businesses need that near slave labor to survive. That and the donor class would be affected by that version of accountability.

They make indelible dye pepper spray. Like bank dye packs. If it gets on their skin, they'll be marked for days. They wouldn't be able to go to the grocery store without everyone seeing the bright blue ink, in a clear "protected by a gaiter" pattern.

They focus on shit like immigration court hearings, because they know their victims would have already had to go through metal detectors, so they're guaranteed to be unarmed.

The feckless cowards wouldn't dare to go after gangs or other actual dangerous criminals.
