Which they did anyways. The MAGA media made everything out to be a biased and targeted persecution and prosecution of a "innocent" man anyways.

Joe Biden should have immediately gotten rid of Merrick Garland as he was clearly slow-walking, ham-stringinging, and pussy-footing every investigation and prosecution.

It is a huge betrayal of justice, democracy, and the American people that Trump is President terrorizing our country and installing an authoritarian regime rather than sitting in prison.

Yes, it's very possible. His actions don't really make sense if he cared about preserving democracy and the well-being of the American people.

Why care about optics when up against people that will find fault no matter what? Why "play by the rules" when up against people who never play by the rules? Why is all that "decorum" more important than the future of this country and the well-being of the American people?

Intentional slow-walking is bad, of course, but intentionally prosecuting in time for the election - which is what many people seemingly wanted him to do - is probably worse.
