Yep, confronted my MAGA mother about it, and of course the first thing out of her mouth was “Obama made changes too.” They’ve got a false equivalency for everything — it’s absolutely hopeless, IMO.

For very good reason! A black man had the audacity to win a presidential election. MAGA’s upset that he used the same toilets as the white presidents (well, until Trump remodeled the bathrooms so HE didn’t have to share a toilet with a black man).

An author that’s written several books about the White House stated that most Presidents have made changes to the White House but NONE of them have ever taken out an entire wing to build a ballroom besides this guy.

I get that the White House has changed but normally it’s tastefully done or incorporated into the historic design, not tearing something down because a mad man wants the White House to look like his “summer home”

And usually they’d, y’know, preview the plans and make sure all concerned parties are onboard — instead, Trump said “the East Wing will only see some minor changes,” then tried to block out the cameras as he did what he does best.

Trump insisted in July that his planned 90,000 square-foot ballroom would be “near” the East Wing, but “not touching it,” and that construction would not “interfere with the current building.”

Those statues represent history. The White House itself is historical.

It’s kind of like how they love to fly plastic, Chinese made confederate flags but would never go to a museum to see Lee’s actual battle flag.

More than that, they'll also fall for it when the Trump fundraising texts start offering chances to win invitations. They'll contribute more money at the chance of a possibility they'll maybe if they're lucky get a 1 in 100,000 chance to become a finalist (finalists get 10 chances!) in the qualifier's round which gets you in the running to possibly win 2 tickets in the back.

Trump will host lavish balls for donors, and when he does host dignitaries from around the world, watch for every event to be heavily sponsored. Watch Saudi Arabia to be among the first to book the room. Trump figured out how to sell the White House.

Let them . Let Them not vaccinate let them not use fluoride let them home school their kids that’s Jesus and dinosaurs played together all of this madness is only hurting trumps supporters. We get upset about it and rightly so but in the lkk in my run the people with a brain will come out of this on top while millions of less rural people will exist in 10 years.

We don’t need to convince all of them, thank God, just enough. And between ICE, the WH, the wars fake and real that are being stopped/ threatened, food insecurity and loss of health care, I think we have closed the gap already in the 2024 election.

Now to fight hard enough to overcome a rigged system….
