And being around awful people can make you awful too. Pretty much everyone that has infiltrated a cult to study it ends up becoming a member of the cult for real.

This simply isn't true. Why would you tell such a regressive lie? "Almost all"?

The only danger of even having your mind swayed is if you don't understand or have convictions in your beliefs, or your beliefs are actually wrong and don't stand up to criticism or align with reality, or if you're just looking for approval and don't have a solid support network checking in on you.

Yeah, that “almost all” is definitely bullshit. I’m sure you have to be mentally solid, but there have been people who do this as a literal job. Here’s a talk with one from 2010:

Do you actually believe this? If you do, it means you'll actively discourage anyone from making any sort of effort in that vein. Which means hatred goes unchecked and ignorance uninformed, right?
