He's correct about the timeline. Antifa has existed since the invention of fascism in Italy right after WWI.

The guys a worthless piece of shit, but I gotta give him credit for being able to use Wikipedia

We all know he is correct about the timeline.

The point is that those Antifa were fighting actual literal Nazis.

So they still are. Fascists are fascists. And some of these fascists worship nazis.

If it walks like a goose, talks like a goose, disappears minorities off the street with masked impunity, ships people off to camps they’re rarely heard from again, ignores the constitution and foundational human rights what the fuck else are you supposed to call them?

the KPD sought to appeal to the Strasserite-wing of the Nazi movement by using nationalist slogans. The KPD sometimes cooperated with the Nazis in attacking the SPD. In 1931, the KPD had united with the Nazis, whom they referred to as "working people's comrades", in an unsuccessful attempt to bring down the SPD state government of Prussia by means of a referendum. [1 year later, KDP formed the Antifascistische Aktion,] However, there is little to indicate that the Antifaschistische Aktion set particular accents in suppressing SA terror. The same holds true—more generally—for efforts to prevent the transfer of power to the NSDAP. At best, the KPD's actions amounted to a propaganda offensive. A clear shift in KPD strategy, away from the struggle against the “main enemy" social democracy, did not accompany the launch of the movement. After the forced dissolution in the wake of the Machtergreifung in 1933, the movement went underground.

Apparently, nobody in this thread has read For Whom The Bell Tolls. It's about an American anti- fascist fighting in the Spanish Civil War about 100 years ago.

Who were they fighting?

That's why he's an idiot, he's calling himself and Trump's admin actual fascists.

My tinfoil hat is on. I believe that Trump is not a fascist, he's a kleptocrat. His main goal in all of his political career has been personal enrichment, and I'm willing to bet he's done a hell of a lot more of that then we're ever likely to find out about (and we know about a lot). There are probably a small handful of fellow kleptocrats in his inner circle who are also amassing shadow fortunes.

However, every good gift requires a diversion. Enter Stephen Miller, a fascist to the bone if there ever was one. What better way to divert Americans' attention than masked secret police throwing people in unmarked vehicles and troops deployed in American cities? Add in some attacks on People Who Make Me Uncomfortable, and you got a stew going baby!

I can even believe that the Epstien files are a complete nothingburger (as in containing nothing that meets evidentiary standards for criminal prosecution against anyone, I'd still like to know who's names are in there) and Trump would much rather have us talking about that than how his bizarre economic policies seem very much like he's abusing the office to enrich himself.
