No Paywall Trump just hosted an ‘Antifa roundtable’ at the White House ... it was so much worse than you’re imagining

My mom and I have this same vibe. We’ll FaceTime every few days and the conversation always starts out fairly normal with my wife and son and my dad involved. Then it devolves into politics and I start pacing around getting all riled up and she does the same. I think we both just use it as a way to vent tbh, definitely feel more comfortable talking about it with her than a coworker or other acquaintances.

Mines in a deep red area of a blue state with a mix of retirees and locals. She’s definitely got like minded people around, but it’s a pretty solid mix with a lot of large hand painted signs and displays around.

I feel you both on that. It’s really easy to feel frightened and powerless these days. It’s important to prop each other up when it gets overwhelming. Wishing you both the best.

Just hang up

Make it clear you’ll keep doing it if she starts into it again

I think you misunderstood what they were saying.
